I think that, possibly, Jeevan may have wanted one of the characters to die ... just a feeling ...😁 On not being about to move on: I def have this problem. I read the fan translation of the novel first, (my first danmei), then I watched the Untamed. I've since since consumed every other iteration of this story I can find: the donghua, the chibi, the audio drama. I bought a print version of the original Chinese novel even though I can't read it 😆 and I've pre-ordered a print version of the official English translation. On Lan Yuan - you really do want to know that cutie 😉. And yay, the Lan Juniors are here now! Wei Ying played the flute badly on purpose to keep Master Lan from recognizing him. In this drama, yes, Wei WuXian looks like himself so he wears the mask around people who might recognize him (in the novel, he is within Mo XuanYu's body so no mask needed). Yep, Wei Ying is extremely afraid of dogs ... it gets explained!! Thank you for the reaction!

There’s a few big differences between the episode 1 cliff showdown and the real one in 33. Most important it shows jiang cheng didn’t - couldn’t - kill his brother. As far as why wuxian made that face there’s no real explanation, it’s all up to you. They range from “jiang cheng made the rock unstable so he threw himself off to save lan zhan” to “he thought jc would kill him but was shocked to see he didn’t and decided well fuck it back to doing this myself”

Also the scar on lan zhan’s chest is the same one wuxian got ages ago in the cave protecting mianmian - the one he said meant “she would remember him forever.”
