Sky's trauma isn't something he's going to get over only by loving himself. We don't know how long he was with Gun; it was long enough to be treated poorly and to be told that the pain and the treatment was all he deserved, and probably the best he was likely to get. This takes a toll on our ability to love ourselves, and to find our own value. Plus, it was really Sky's first relationship and he was very young. He clearly wasn't surrounded by many great influences reminding him that he's worth more than the sh*t treatment he received. I think Sky had built himself up as much as he could have on his own--he didn't pursue Pai, and he wanted to keep Pai at a distance because he didn't have trust in others to would treat him well. Pai did everything he could (particularly without knowing about Sky's trauma, and so occasionally he did unhelpful things, like yelling at him) to help Sky feel safe and worthy of love. Being alone can only take us so far. At some point Sky was going to have to learn to trust someone, and the second time around he made a better choice for himself. Re reporting to the authorities, I don't know enough about Thai law to know whether reporting it would have produced a favorable outcome or not. In the US, sometimes it creates more victim trauma than reducing it, so it's not always an advisable path (which is terrible, btw). I did think it was a bit strange that Pai took his traumatized boyfriend to his family home for the first time, but that's a minor complaint. Overall, I was pretty happy with the ending. Fort and Peat have a LOT more chemistry (to me) than Boss and Noeul, but I'm not sure if that's more about the actors or more about the scripting/scenes, because BossNoeul off-screen seem good together. I was pleasantly surprised overall, since it wasn't near as bad as some of the other storylines I've seen from this agency. I agree that PayuRain didn't have as much of a storyline. I'd give it 3.5 out of 5, but it doesn't pull me away from still thinking KinnPorsche set the bar for BL. Thanks for the reactions!!

Under the Criminal Code of Thailand, when rape is committed through the use of gun or explosives or with aid of persons, making their victim vulnerable, the offenders shall be imprisoned for a period of 15-20 years and shall be fined with 30,000-40,000 Baht. Here a link to the Criminal code of Thailand. https://library.siam-legal.com/thai-law/criminal-code-rape-sections-276-281 The writing was not great, I did not enjoy the series. It doesn't stick to reality just like P'Mame, the writer, always does. She need to stop writes think like that, it's purely sensational without any real resolve.

Thank you for the information! Are charges often brought and people successfully imprisoned without undue stress on the victim? The US trial system often fails victims by expecting them to testify (re-live) the moments, or to be present at trial (how horrible is that?), and some can't go through the trauma again, so lots of sexual assault goes unreported and/or unprosecuted here.

It would be the same situation as the US. Fear of reprisal, social pressure, fear of judgment, family honor and tradition being the biggest issue, well...you name it... Depressing you said ? Unfortunately yes and in Thailand their even a cultural difference with the westerners. In Thai there are 2 words to describe a sexual assault: bplum (ปล้ำ) and khom kheuun (ข่มขืน). bplum would be a forced sex (the word literally means clench or wrestle; this is what we mostly see in Thai series, BL or Lakorn). khom kheuun would be bplum as a criminal offense: the rape as westerner intended it (what Sky did suffered): sexual assault full definition. Even if the criminal code is clearly defining rape just like westerners do, peoples keep their ''old mind'' and considere bplum not a crime.
