Kiyoi is successful but he prefers intimate performances. I understand why you prefer people who accept people for who they are but I understand Kiyoi. He wants Hira to come out of his comfort zone rather than just idolise him from afar. The "gross" and kicking the shin is just their thing. It's his way of saying "how long is it going to take for you to get past idolisation?" I agree it's wrong but Hira isn't abusive. He's just too afraid to admit his own feelings. He should be as brave as he hopes Hira to be.
