The reason Pudding took Sanji memory is because if Sanji know Pudding is truely in love with him, Sanji would never leave WCI, he would stayed their and protect his girl. Consider the situation, Sanji have to save Luffy and Pudding is not possible. “If you truly love someone you let them go” what a bittersweet ending. 😭 Oda:”I’m don’t write romance lol” Btw, there are 2 cover stories, one about Bege’s family and one about Germa 66 after event of WCI.

I wished Oda gave pudding a happy ending but sadly she still feels unlove and unwanted T_T I really ship Sanji and Pudding tgt!! They need to have an actual wedding by the end of this series!!!

I have a lot of things to say in this arc! - Pudding literally and figuratively holding on to their memories together. - The musical ending? We started WCI with Mama singing, and ended with another musical - Brulee really the best sister - Perospero calling out Katakuri's mouth when his tongue is sticking out smh 😒 WCI a solid 9/10 for me! Btw, I recently read somewhere that Brulee wears a wedding dress because she never had the chance to actually wear one and marry someone, probably because of her face. That made me sad fr!

I loved how I felt about the variety of characters this arc. From hating Pudding and Brulee, to loving them. Katakuri being noble but ferocious, Big Mom being a terror. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. Personally, it’s why Whole Cake is one of my favorite arcs. Good writing, and the feeling of constant anxiety made the stakes feel high. Great character development too! Can’t wait for y’all to see what’s next!

Not considering pacing, but even compared to one piece’s best arcs pre timeskip, this one remains great.

Katakuri, the real older brother. It seems like all of Big Mom's children have a traumatic childhood, the only reason he's on Big Mom's side is to protect his family. I think it's one of the best arc endings, the emotions, backstories, the uncertainty of who Big Mom is fighting against at the end, and finally a shot of Sanji and Zeff <3. The Mugiwara could flee thanks to 2 allied pirate fleets, 1 military army, 4 traitors (5, if we count Brulee xD) and the fact that Big Mom could not fight. On top of that, we can count on the huge fan discussion about whether Katakuri lost or let himself be defeated. After this arc, fans (and Oda also thought, it was confirmed in an interview) were wondering how Luffy could beat Kaido, the mission to Wano would be an impossible one.

Wholecake island was one of the worst pacing arcs in the series because it dragged out especially Luffy and Katakuri fight , However It had one of the best character developments in the entire series especially this episode. You guys will now enter PEAK PIECE!! Happy for you guys!

That Pudding and Sanji kiss in the manga has cool looking special panelling (chp 902) where it looks like a film roll and the anime version did an even better job imo Wci done.. Close to catching up 😔 excited for the Q/A

Now that you've seen this episode I have a theory about katakuri. Seeing his backstory it's clear that his whole character motivation is protecting his family. I think when he gets up and asks luffy if he will come back and defeat big mom one day, then after getting luffys confirmation, he falls back on his back. I think katakuri actually wants someone to defeat big mom because she is honestly the biggest threat to their safety. However since almost no one can actually beat her and at best just pisses her off along with hurting his other family, he became a sweet general to mitigate damage to his family and try and keep mama from getting angry. I think he believes luffy actually has a chance at beating her in the future and when he hears that he plans to come back and defeat her, he admits defeat. Luffy is also the type of person who will leave the rest of his family alone and just go for big mom. Just my theory on those scenes

I really hope sanji and pudding become a couple at the end of the series. After all is said and done they are so wholesome and compatible. Also pudding could use someone as good as sanji in her life, and sanji could use someone who simps for him in his 😂

It really seemed like pride was just Judge's excuse for helping Sanji. He is an evil pragmatic man, he had no reason to come back to help them escape and risk his own kingdom in the process.

Rewatching these episodes with y'all honestly leaves me anticipating The One Piece from WIT all the more. Toei did a great job with this episode but imagine the new adaptation. Especially with the manga accurate character drawings! Oh god I already can't wait rewatching this peak peak arc once they get to it!

Okay top 3 might be too crazy, top 5 or so for sure. I actually like WCI about as much if not more than Marineford, PERSONALLY. Ennies Lobby has great highs but overall I prefer Sabaody lol

If you guys notice, this is the only arc that ends in a high note. No banquet, celebration whatsoever, just full confusion of what's gonna happen next and it's so fitting for BM character. She's full of surprises and you'll see in the future why.
