ryou is what people in wano call haki its no different. what luffy is learning is a more advanced version of ryou/haki

I thought Luffy is not learning an advanced form of Ryou; Ryou is the advanced form of Armament 'haki' itself. It's just that the people of Wano have always used the advaned form from the beginning when learning (sword)fighting and they have always used the term Ryou for it. I could be wrong tho

I think u guys are both right. Zoro 100% has advanced armament haki once he attained enma during 956, he’s training his haki to control it while using enma, just like luffy wants to control his haki in this episode. But hyogoro also said “in the land of wano we call it ryou”, I’ve never heard anyone from wano so far (episodes 890 to 956) call it “haki”

Ryuo imply the haki “flow” or haki emission, advanced armament. In Wano, there is no 3 types of Haki, only haki emission as it supports swordsmen to use disntant attacks. Ofcourse Zoro, Mihawk disciple has already mastered that. What Luffy is training is Naibu Hakai, internal destruction, even above normal Ryuo.

Pretty sure it's not. Ryuo is just the name used by wano people for haki. There is actually 3 types of ryuo. For example Ashura Doji said "Oden's power" when he saw Luffy used his conqueror haki. He just didn't knew how to called it. Ryuo may refer exclusively to armement haki for someone from Wano as mantra to observation for shandians, but it's not an advance type of haki. There is basic armement/observation ryuo (we saw Hyogoro using armement haki without "flow" for example and still called it ryuo) like there is advance haki (future sight and Katakuri mentioned "haki's level" when is armement haki took a block shape). Plus, when Hyogoro explain ryuo, Luffy remembered Rayleigh and Sentomaru using it. Of course they used haki not ryuo, but in fact yes they were since it's exactly the same thing. The animation style changing over years clearly don't help, cause there was no "flow" in the animation in 2010 like there was no animation for haki at marineford. (Same for the manga btw). Also, this is just to show how isolated from the world Wano is. I mean some devil fruit eater called themself "magic power holder" cause they don't even know the fruit was the reason... Everything of the OP world are here in Wano but called or made differently: haki, devil fruits, wanted poster, snailphone, fishmen...

Absolutely thanks! Ryuo is just the wano name of haki like fishmen are kappa or devil fruit eater some "magic users". We saw Rayleigh and Sentomaru using what luffy is currently learning and it was always specified as haki. The remake will be a good thing to add haki visuals back in those scenes or in marineford.

Sentomaru used ACoA: Haki emission to strike Luffy without touching him. I read it from OP wiki.
