Out of the choices seen, which one do you want Elaine to pick, and which one do you think she'll pick? Vote for as many options as you'd like!

Yeah I really think its going to be radiant dawn, but I really want to see the asura one. The butterfly mystic and radiant immolator are my runner ups. I could see Elaine picking these and they would also be interesting.

I don't think she should choose Butterfly Mystic because it would likely absorb [Passionate Learning]. And when she creates her own class later, she'd lose the skill with the bonus xp gain for those higher levels where the xp between levels is far greater.

I feel like the 'The Rising Dawn - Radiance' fits her best, but the one I like most is 'Light of Truth - Radiance'. Something that automatically lets you see through all illusions is kind of cool :)

I believe its going to be Rising Dawn but I can see Butterfly to be more flexible or immolator to be more defensive (in the way of if your dead you can't hurt me)

Rising Dawn is the obvious choice, it has the least impact on what she does, and changes the least. It's super safe. But I'm voting my heart, I'm voting Asura. What's the fun of a level up system where your class changes but everything stays about the same? That happened with healing, healing is core to her identity, but I wonder what the inscribed radiance could do.

I think inscription path could be super interesting, but I think Rising Dawn can lead to fun "I am the reinforcements" moments

I want Acolyte of Asura, but I doubt she'll take it because she's trying to get home. Second favorite is the Butterfly class, because Elaine is all about learning and adapting. I think she's actually likely to take Rising Dawn, but from a story perspective, I hope she doesn't. One of my favorite parts about this web novel is Elaine's creativity, flexibility, and penchant for experimentation. The Rising Dawn, although highly thematic, feels... anticlimactic. Maybe that's just me.

The number of us who think Asura is awesome but don't think she'll go that way says to me it'd be really cool if she did. I mean from an in-world perspective I can understand why learning a whole bunch of inscription seems like a pain... even if light could probably burn the characters into surfaces... and even if the stats are insane... and even if it offers the most cool changes to the narrative and flexibility.

I'm sure the choice has already been made. But I do feel like I need to advocate for Asura. I love mechanics, we've gotten to see a lot of healing mechanics and that really just kind of boil down to biology. We haven't gotten to see a lot of cool interesting stuff with inscriptions. Most of it's off screen or mentioned in passing. Diving into this class would potentially give us all a much deeper dive into how the magic of pathos. Then again I guess I'm a big fan of the artorian archive series which is basically all mechanics all the time.

So pretty sure now looking again it she's going to be horribly practice and pick the point click boom class (point click blinding flash? Elaine used solar beam its super effective?) Nothing wrong with that by any means. Granted I didn't treat the poll right and picked the one I hopes she gets and that she doesn't pick the one she probably needs the most in her current predicament. Oh and has there ever been any mention of class combination? I don't know if there has in this story and was wondering if only to make sure I'm not forgetting things. I'm like 80% sure I'm thinking a different litrpg but I might not be.

I'm betting Asura, since Selkie mentioned this level up needed to be delayed until after the fight - not positive, though, due to the new casting method. Does seem like an inconvenient time to take it. ("Gee, while you're holding me captive, mind teaching me how to kill things? Just so I can defend myself again orcs, I'd *never* use it on you, honest!")

Too much was made of Sentinel Adept and Rising Dawn being similar to what she has now. It will be either Butterfly or something we have yet to see.

Yeah, I feel like the Rising Dawn is more likely, but I would LOVE to see the Butterfly Mystic class. Not only would it open the door to an improved Passionate Learning, but I want to read about her exploring the world. PLUS: given the name, imagine how the next upgrade to her flying skill might go!

I think Rising Dawn because she's always liked her identity and classes named after her will naturally pull her in the direction she wants to go in. The rest of the classes are cool but she kind of loses the identity she's built up. Actually now that I say that I guess this fundamentally boils down to how she's going to approach the new perspective of a great wide world. Does she want to step out in the world as the Dawn who knows who she is and just wants to see the world, or does she see herself as someone who was Sentinel Dawn and is now looking to be someone else.

Butterfly mystic is gonna be the move. She can use it to learn all sorts of new useful skills including the Orcs invisibility to help her escape.

One thing I expect is that she won't take the Sentinel based classes. Regardless of what she THINKS, I doubt she is going to be able to fit back into that cage. The politics in the dead zone are going to change drastically and even with the sentinels being the "bastion of humanity" - now the rest of the world has been opened up. This has been hinted by her status as lost.

One of issues with majority of these classes is that Elaine has no way to tell if she can get her fly skill to operate underground. Even if it is available as a skill upgrade, will she get it early on? Will she be able to get necessary additional experience while inprisoned? Dwarves unlikely to let fight and gain combat experience. Only [Butterfly Mystic] class offers multiple opportunities to deal with these issues - gain experience outside of combat and get skill upgrades faster.

Asura is a terrible idea right now. She needs to escape and having to learn an entirely new magic form is not conducive to that in any way. I feel like Rising Dawn is the one she'll go with, but I'll admit a certain fondness for Butterfly as well.

I actually liked the prophet class. Big boost to power and makes into all around person (ie. avoids glass cannon) yet still helps casting. Not a dead end class. But yeah not really her either. Immolator seems like good choice to escape but is it really her? Butterfly and Asura both have lots of possible future play and are interesting classes. Flying seems like it would really improve in Butterfly. Still seems like dawn class might be her fate.

As long as Elaine could accept the idea, sticking around for a year or so and mastering the Asura class might be her safest bet at escaping. She can continue playing nice with the dwarves, building trust and accumulating allies and resources for when she finally is ready to move. She might not even need to escape at that point, if she has allies that can negotiate with the clan heads for her. Hell, she might single-handedly end the conflict with the orcs and get a proper escort out according to the current agreement.

Conceptually [Butterfly Mystic] seems themed towards freedom and flight, which align with her current goals, but sadly it didn’t sound like it actually helped her accomplish those goals.

I’m sure she is going to pick Rising Dawn, but man I would love a hit from left field of her going with dragonforged star. Just the idea that she benefitted from her close encounter with death by dragon, and got some insane class benefits, makes me like that class the best. Plus it would put her into the mythological cast of the world which would bring benefits I’m sure. Author shame on you for giving the class such a cool name and not letting it be an option lol.

To be honest for me there is an simple reason why one of the classes is better than any of the others, stats. One class gives more than 2x the stats of the other classes. Yes she might be weaker in the short term. But she can be immortal crippling herself to much by tqking an weeker classnow might get her killedlater in lafe. Also she needsa bit more physical stats.it gives that to so I am hoping on Acolyte of Asura. If she desides to take escape tomorow not in a few months or a year thinking then imolate. That one and dawn a close so I let the stats win again :) (just sad about no easy way to farm formorians until next class up :D )

I think she'll take [The Rising Dawn] simply because of the "You cannot be stopped or pinned down by others[...]" bit. Hopefully that means some skill to improve her mobility(not requiring a beam of sun or her sandals to fly) and resistance(or immunity) to imprisonment(or a way to escape easily). That being said, I can understand wanting [Acolyte of Asura], it gives more than double the stats of Rising Dawn, but the fact that it doesn't give her information on how to use the skills means that she'll likely get a heavy decrease in versatility(in the moment anyway, without preperation), and it's basically a trade-off, good stats for a nerf to skills. Not to mention the kinda creepy worship/religious vibes the description gives me. [Sentinel Adept] gives even less stats than [The Rising Dawn], even if it's not by much, and I just can't see her taking it. Same with [Butterfly Mystic], it's stats are slightly better, but not worth the lack of focus and general flightiness. [Radiant Slayer of the Endless Formorian Swarm] gives a whopping 1600 stats per level, but I don't think that's worth being so focused on a single enemy type, let alone a hopefully extinct one. It would be okay if she absolutely had to escape right now, but she's not really in particular danger or anything. Sure she wants to go home, but it's not really a dire situation yet. [Dragonforged Star] gives the least stat points, has the sparsest description, and references dragons, pass. [Radiant Immolator] is too attack focused and not really what she's looking for. [Draconic Prophet] is just another religious class. Hard pass. and that's without even mentioning the physical focus and yet more dragon references. [Light of Truth] would be okay, not great. Good stats, but the same with [Butterfly Mystic] it doesn't really focus on what she wants. Useful, no doubt, but she has much better options. So, yeah, despite having kind of shit stats compared to her other options, I still think she'll go with [The Rising Dawn]. She also mentioned being able to free up a skill for [The Stars Never Fade] from her [Sentinel Dawn] class. Then again, from the description of a lot of her new classes, I wouldn't be surprised if several of them had some form of immortality tacked on. Plus, it seems like [The Rising Dawn] just synergizes with her [The Dawn Sentinel] better than the others. Last point(and a point against [The Rising Dawn]) is the specific stats. [Sentinel Adept], [The Rising Dawn], and [Radiant Immolator] give no free stats, so the only free stats she would be gaining would be from being human(1 per level). That's only really important for her because [The Dawn Sentinel] only gives 3 dex per level and no str. Then again, she is not, has never been, and will likely never be, a physical classer, so increasing those isn't SUPER important, but we've already seen a few times where a bit more str would have helped(such as when trying to cut into her dwarven victim). Her 1 free point per level for being human would be more than enough to offset the loss of strength that the 3 dex per level from [Sentinel Dawn] would cause, but it's still not great. Basically, if [Acolyte of Asura] didn't have religious vibes or require learning an entirely new way to cast things, it would be great, and I could still see her taking it, even if I really don't want her to. [Butterfly Mystic] is too flighty and doesn't seem to focus on anything(other than possibly "pretty"), and I REALLY don't want her to take it(I think it's unlikely she would anyway, but still). The Dragon related classes are related to dragons. [Sentinel Adept] is boring, crappy, and boring. [The Light of Truth] doesn't seem like something that is all that useful to her, and would take away some of her already lacking combat ability. The Formorians are all hopefully dead, so no reason to take a class specifically to kill them, even if its stats are phenomenal. TL;DR: I think she'll be taking [The Rising Dawn], because the others either don't focus on what she wants(or on anything at all), and they have significant drawbacks(stated in chapter or implied).

See, but that has ALWAYS been an option for her. Every time she's classed up, she's had an option that gave significantly more stats than any of her others. The problem with them, and the reason why she's steered way clear of them, is because they have religious vibe(implied or otherwise). the [Radiant Slayer of the Endless Formorian Swarm] is an exception, but it has it's own severe drawback. [Acolyte of Asura] is much more subtle about it than others, but I still feel like it's a bit of a trap to get her to worship Asura. It's even possible that she would HAVE to worship Asura in order to learn how to use the damn class in the first place. The improved stats aren't worth that kind of drawback.

My pick is the Butterfly. But gut feeling aside, Rising Dawn seems to be the most probable choice just like the poll suggests so far. The Rising Dawn - merge possibility facts excluded - sounds like it might be able to merge with/ swallow the Sentinel Dawn Class in the future.

Sentinel adept and Radiant Immolator are what I'm thinking are the best options. Literally unless all of Remus collapses and every sentinel dies, sentinel adept will still be viable. Radiant Immolator is second choice I think because she does desperately need better offence and defence.

I find the [Butterfly Mystic] to be the best class option but with a certain big IF. Elaine's skillset for the Radiance Mage is rather fixed and replacing viable skills is a terrible idea. Will she gain extra skillslots to experiment with the large variety of new skills offered? Is that what the [Radiance Authority] does? If not then what's the point? In general 8 skillslots is very suffocating - I am hopeful that higher level characters have more skillslots for their classes - else changing skills and adding new features to classes is extremely difficult.

I disagree on the [Rising Dawn]. It simply extends her [Sentinel Dawn] class - doesn't add anything new - only some flashy stuff with narcissistic vibes. And it doesn't seem to help her current predicament of running away from Dwarves. Even if she can fly what will she do with her measly low speed? Lack of any bonuses to Vitality and Speed is a huge setback.

Asura looks awesome and versatile since the skills may be more about creating, modifying, and boosting inscriptions so her actual limit on versatility would be what she can learn. Butterfly Mystic might have something that helps mimic other skills temporarily, or just more frequently getting up/side grades to skills, and very much fits her personality long term. But the most likely & effective for her balancing current needs, long term needs, and power is Radiant Dawn so I'll say 70/30 odds she goes for Radiant Dawn over Butterfly Mystic

I want her to pick Asura like so many others. And, as others have pointed out, she kind of has the perfect setup for working with Pristine Memories to remember the Mandalas that Asura was already using and the Passionate Learning to help her figure them out and experiment (even if that word has literally been ripped out of her head). I really liked the sound of Light of Truth. But I also felt that it would get her killed by Lun'Kat. And then she mentioned that it lost a bunch of offense and noped away from that one. I don't like the Butterfly Mystic at all. It has some potential but is too... flighty...? Even with my ADHD I don't like it. I can't quite place why. However, like others who want to see Asura, I think she should/will go with Rising Dawn or Radiant Immolater. I like Rising Dawn better but it's a bit of a coin flip IMO as to which she'll actually go with. Still, I voted for Acolyte of Asura because in my heart, I want to see it. It sounds so awesome.

I assumed she would get more badass options from interacting with an angel and the guardians. Granted, most of those interactions involved healing and this isn't her healing class, but still, if it doesn't really affect her class options now then we have to wait till she gets her next healing class promotion which will likely be a LONG ways away. I only remember her getting options for dealing with dragons fire, warning about the danger of dragons, and seeing through illusions but none of those classes really stood out to me. Only Asura and The Light even made it to this poll. The gap in strength between the slayer of formorians and every other class doesn't make as much sense to me. She interacted with and survived an encounter between the strongest beings on the planet and yet fighting formorians is the stronger/rarer class stat/color wise.

I place my bet on Radiant Slayer of Fomorians. You get a 3rd class at 512. Her third class is most definitely World Traveler. So, she'll need the power of The Slayer to hop between worlds and exterminate Fomorians everywhere. And I don't think the experience gain will be that detrimental. 1000 years? It's like the author is trying to throw us off. Plus, what about skills that are like "Designate Fomorian" and you get bonus exp for exterminating that. Might makes right. It's my only pick.

I figured out why I dislike the [Rising Dawn] class upgrade option so much. The extra XP for swooping in and saving the day with extra cool lightshow... is just so wrong. It is cool to see in movies but when people are on the brink of death you go make a fun lightshow with theme music!? That's not a true hero class. That's a "pretentious hero" or something like that. One who likes to be viewed as a hero instead of being one. Why not be a true hero and make sure from the start that the day doesn't need saving?

Eh to get there she already had to be a hero. The system would just be rewarding her for what she's already doing. Especially since it's based on her rather well, assuming the system works off building from what's present, it would reward her for being herself. Really that seems to be what good class choice does and it's why bad ones are so bad. You have to actively work against who you are to get stronger. Least thats the way I see it.
