I've seen a lot of adaptations, good and bad, and this is by far the worst one ever. I wasn't sure if you were going to watch it, but now you have, and you know what it means to be a fan of the show, and hate the movie. Thankyour for your sacrifice.

After watching this I got into a conversation with some friends about adaptations from source material and one of my friends made a good point. This movie was so bad that knowing it was an adaptation is what steered him to watch the show for the first time because they show had to be way better. Something similar happened to me with the TV show The Dresden Files. That show was not great at all, but I could see there was interesting elements that were just handled poorly and since it was based on a popular book series I decided to check it out. I think I read the first 10 books in a month.

I made it an hour, but my heart can't take anymore. I didn't forget how bad this movie is, but I did forget how boring and lifeless it is. I'm all for celebrating the hard work that any project had put into it, but Shyamalan really pooped the bed with this one. It's not just a bad adaptation, it's a chore to watch.
