"I am the colour red, in a world of black and white." - Bray Wyatt/Windham Rotunda

Author's Note: This one-shot is dedicated to my life-long love of professional wrestling and to one of my all-time favorites athletes who not only entertained and inspired me, but countless millions around the entire world.

This is for you, Windham Rotunda. ❤

●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●

*It was time for Rhea Rotunda, otherwise known as Rhea Rampage, to make her big debut in the Global Wrestling Association. She couldn't believe it was finally here, that her first match in the GWA was about to happen! All of her hard work, training, going through the other wrestling organizations, and now she had made it to the big leagues! So, why was she still so nervous and pacing in her locker room like a rookie thrust into the spotlight of the pros?*

*Could it be she was worried about how her deceased parents, Abigail Joseanne Rotunda and Lawrence Rotunda, would feel about her entering the GWA? Is it possible she was nervous going up against Quintessa Flare, one of the top contenders for the GWA Women's World Championship? Could it be that she was worried about the fans reaction to her presence and performance in the match?*

*Unbeknownst to Rhea, her beloved uncle, Wyatt Rotunda, had entered the locker room. He was a burly man that stood 6'4" in height; strong, wide and muscular like a strongman more than a bodybuilder at nearly 300 pounds. His hair, some of it in braids like the Norsemen of the Viking era, was a dark brown in color. He sported a full, thick beard, which added to his warrior-like appearance. And his eyes, filled with gentle warmth and compassion, were a captivating emerald-green in color. He was a man capable of great strength, intelligence and empathy. He could sense his niece's restlessness, her uneasiness, and her nervousness. It is why, before her entrance to the match, where he would escort her out to the ring, he would speak with Rhea and help her in any way he could.*

Uncle Wyatt: Hey, there, Firefly. You keep that up and you'll create a trench in the floor.

Rhea: *Chuckles* Sorry. I'm just nervous. This is my first big match in GWA. I'm fighting against one of the top contenders for the GWA Women's Championship. I'm thinking about what you would do, what my uncles would do, about my Mom & Dad would do... I want to win, but I don't want to mess up, yet I want to leave a lasting impression on the fans and...

Uncle Wyatt: Whoa! Slow down there, Ramblin' Rabbit! *Chuckles* You're saying words faster than I can understand them.

Rhea: *Sighs and plops down on the bench* I'm sorry, Uncle Wyatt. It's just that... want to honor my parents and their legacy. I want to make them proud.

*Uncle Wyatt smiled down at his beloved niece, a gentle chuckle rumbling in his chest. He took a seat on the bench beside Rhea, his burly arm resting on her shoulders and pulling her into a brief, comforting hug. Then, looking Rhea in the eyes, Uncle Wyatt spoke to her in a gentle, comforting tone of voice.*

Uncle Bray: A wise man once said... "Wrestling is not a love story, it's much more. It's hope."

Rhea: *Chuckles* Mom and Dad used to tell me that all the time. I didn't understand it then.

Uncle Bray: And now?

Rhea: Now... I think I understand what they meant.

Uncle Bray: They would be very proud of you, Rhea. Proud of the woman you've become. Proud of everything you've achieved. And I do mean everything.

Rhea: Do you still think about them?

Uncle Bray: *A small, sad smile forms on his face* All the time. Every day. Every moment. Lawrence... Your Father... My Brother... He always made me, my brothers and sisters smile even during the toughest of times. And your Mother... Abigail... She was the kindest, sweetest woman I've ever known. When I look at you, I see them. You possess all of their best attributes, and yet you still remain so unique. You are your parents, but you are also so much more than that. You are Rhea "Rampage" Rotunda. First. Last. Always and forever. Nobody can take away who you are and all that you've done. Remember that, My Firefly.

*Rhea smiles, tears brimming in her eyes, as she embraces her Uncle Wyatt in a hug. She could always depend on him to light her path and show her the way through the darkness that is uncertainty and doubt. He gently pats her on the back, holding her as he had done since she was a little baby, giving her the emotional support necessary to follow her dreams and honor the memory of her parents.*

Rhea: Thanks, Uncle Wyatt.

Uncle Wyatt: No worries, Rhea. Never be afraid to let me in and know how you're feeling, okay?

Rhea: I will. Always.

Uncle Wyatt: *Smiles, stands up, and offers his niece his hand just as he had done so many times in her life when she was struggling in life* Time to let them all know... We're here. 😈

Rhea: *She takes her Uncle's hand, helping her to her feet, and letting out a hearty laugh.* It's showtime! I cannot wait to get my hands on Quintessa Flare and administer some much deserved... Brutality. 😈

Uncle Wyatt: *Chuckles* Shall we follow the buzzards, then, My Firefly?

Rhea: Light the way.

*Quintessa Flare, one of the top contenders for the GWA Women's World Championship, stood in the middle of the ring awaiting the arrival of her opponent. The 6'1" blonde bombshell wrestling athlete looks over her royal violet and azure attire, brushing a lock of hair away from her face with her hand before focusing her cold, harsh, condescending, sapphire-blue eyes to glare at the entrance in the distance. Suddenly, without warning, the lights in the stadium began to shut off until the entire arena was pitch black.*

*Silence reigned, even amongst the sold-out crowd that packed the stadium. Then... an eerie single piano note played, the single note repeating every few seconds, tolling like a bell in a church. Out of the darkness, Uncle Wyatt came out, holding a glowing, smoking azure-white lantern in the air. The crowd went absolutely nuts at the sight of Wyatt "The Wraith" Rotunda, who smiled and continued to hold the lantern amongst the darkness of the arena. It was only when silenced reigned again did he begin laughing maniacally and spoke.*

Uncle Wyatt: Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! She! Is! Here! We are here!

*It was when the single piano note began play faster than another figure appeared out of the shadows, moving to stand beside Wyatt Rotunda and reveal themselves to the masses. It was Rhea Rampage, dressed in an entire that was mostly pitch black in color with crimson and silver markings etched across it, and wearing a terrifying mask made from a skull of a mighty gorilla that concealed her entire face from sight. It was then that the music picked up its tempo, almost perfectly matching the pace that Rhea Rampage and Uncle Wyatt made down the ramp and to the ring itself.*

*Rhea Rampage enters the ring, climbing over the top rope while Uncle Wyatt remained in her corner holding the lantern. Suddenly, when Uncle Wyatt extinguished the lantern's illuminating light with a single big puff, the lights in the entire arena came back on. Then, slowly and menacingly, Rhea Rampage removes her mask in perfect sync with the last line of her entrance music, revealing her warpaint beneath as she focuses her intense gaze on Quintessa Flare standing across the ring.*

🎶 When things break, things Shatter! 🎶

*There was an undeniable aura about Rhea Rampage, from her entrance with Uncle Wyatt to her presence in the ring, she made the crowd go absolutely wild. However, such attention, applause and admiration from the fans gathered in the stadium only proved to further irk Quintessa Flare. In the past few weeks, she had made her dislike of Rhea "Rampage" Rotunda known at press events and interviews. She believed Rhea to be unworthy to set foot in the ring with her, let alone compete in GWA. She had been Women's World Champion 3 times in the past, was currently one of the top contenders for the title now, and she would be damned if she would allow some powerhouse competitor like Rhea steal her spotlight! She was the Queen of GWA Women's Division! The Royal Heir of Wrestling! The Princess of Pain! And tonight, she would make Rhea Rampage bow to her!*

*The referee entered the ring, signaled the bell to be rung, and for the match to begin. Quintessa and Rhea stood before one another, glaring into each other's eyes, neither throwing a punch. Then, an almost arrogant smirk graced Quintessa's face, as if she were amused by her larger adversary. Suddenly, Quintessa made the first move, slapping Rhea across the face with all her might. The ultimate sign of disrespect, though it seemed to barely effect Rhea Rampage in the least.*

Quintessa: Bow before me, you burly behemoth! Submit and get on your knees, you foul...!

*Quintessa didn't get to finish her sentence, as before she could shout her demands she received a powerful headbutt from Rhea Rampage that completely knocked her off her feet and sent her crumbling to the mat. Rhea watched as Quintessa crawls to the corner, allowing her opponent to grab the ropes and pull herself up before charging in at full speed to splash against Quintessa and crush her against the corner. Quintessa collapsed; the air knocked out of her and proceeds to roll out of the ring to get some respite from her powerful foe. Rhea stood in the ring, dominant and yelling out to the crowd and making them roar in approval as Uncle Wyatt laughed maniacally.*

*Rhea leaps over the top rope and onto the floor, intent on pursuing her opponent. When she approached Quintessa, she was met with a steel chair shot to the head, staggering Rhea who received another chair shot to the abdomen and the head again. With a primal scream of rage, Quintessa smashed the steel chair across the back of Rhea Rampage and making her drop down to one knee. It was then Quintessa noticed Rhea was perfectly placed near the steel ring steps. She runs in the opposite direction, giving herself plenty of distance, then Quintessa rushes forward and delivers a devastating dropkick that sends Rhea smashing against and through the steel steps. Quintessa smiles, raises her hands in the air, and begins to arrogantly showboat.*

Quintessa: Who is your Queen?! I AM! Ha ha ha!

*Quintessa turns and sees Uncle Wyatt glaring at her, clearly disgusted by the disgraceful display of arrogance. She marches over to Uncle Wyatt, laughs in his face and just as her expression turns cold as stone she slaps Uncle Wyatt across the face. It was a grave mistake on her part, for no sooner did she turn around Quintessa found herself getting clotheslined and sent twirling 360 degrees in the air and landed on the mat-covered concrete flooring with a resounding THUD! It honestly felt like she got hit by a train going at top speed!*

*Rhea didn't waste time; she tossed Quintessa back into the ring effortlessly before sliding in underneath the bottom rope. She only got up to one knee before Quintessa ruthlessly kicked her in the face and proceeded wailing on her in a flurry of punches. It didn't last, as the barrage only enraged Rhea further as she grabbed Quintessa and proceeds to deliver a backbreaker... once, twice, three times before hoisting Quintessa up on her right shoulder and delivering a thunderous running powerslam that shook the ring. Rhea didn't bother to go for the cover; no, she wanted to punish Quintessa for all the badmouthing she had done in the weeks prior to their wrestling match.*

*Rhea effortlessly lifts Quintessa to her feet, grabs the back of her neck with her left hand, and proceeds to use her right fist to clobber Quintessa Flare square in the chest and send her crashing to the mat. Quintessa gasped in pain, desperate to breathe as it felt like someone had smashed her in the chest with a sledgehammer. Rhea reached down, grabbing a handful of blonde hair and pulled Quintessa to her feet. She didn't administer another attack, instead getting right in Quintessa's face and screamed in primal fury.*

Rhea: You think you can hurt me?! You think you can bully me?! Do you, BITCH?!

*Out of desperation, Quintessa claws at the eyes of Rhea, temporarily blinding her, allowing Quintessa to deliver two brutal kicks to the stomach, and then deliver a DDT that spikes Rhea's head. Quintessa quickly covers, the referee counts to 1 only for Rhea to immediately get her shoulder up. Frustration growing, Quintessa climbs the top turnbuckle, leaps off it and delivers a Flying Elbow Drop to Rhea's chest. She doesn't bother covering Rhea for a pin count, instead rushing to climb to the top rope again to deliver a Swanton Bomb on Rhea's abdomen, then climbing the top rope yet again to hit Rhea with a devastating Moonsault, and then finally topping it off by climbing to the top rope to execute a perfect Shooting Star Press onto Rhea before going to the pin.*

Referee: 1...! 2...!

*No sooner did the referee make the 2 count did Rhea Rampage literally toss Quintessa Flare off of her and across the ring. The self-proclaimed Queen of GWA was utterly at a loss for words, becoming more desperate and frustrated in her inability to keep her powerhouse of an opponent down. She lets out a scream of rage, rushing over and pummeling Rhea's downed form with a numerous punches and kicks even as Rhea began to get to her feet. Quintessa races back against the ropes, using the speed and momentum to deliver a clothesline to Rhea... who barely staggers and absorbs the impact of the blow. Quintessa tries it again... only to get caught by an enraged Rhea Rampage! She had awakened the monster!*

*Rhea pulls Quintessa close to her, delivering Sister Abigail, a finishing move made famous by her Mother, that spikes Quintessa and drives her face first into the mat. The crowd is cheering and going absolutely nuts, Rhea's Uncle Wyatt laughing maniacally and applauding with pride. But Rhea was FAR from finished with Quintessa Flare. Grasping Quintessa by the throat, Rhea lifts her opponent to her feet only to deliver a devastating chokeslam right in the middle of the ring. Rhea stepped back, glaring down at Quintessa who struggled to get up to her hands and knees. Defiantly, Quintessa sat on her knees, glared up at Rhea Rampage, and proceeds to give her a middle finger. Rhea did not take too kindly to that. Nope. Not at all.*

*Rhea boots Quintessa right in face, knocking the arrogant Queen of GWA off her throne. Rhea proceeds to punish Quintessa, executing not one, not two, but three consecutive Powerbombs! Rhea stood over the limp, beaten, battered, yet still conscious form of Quintessa. Rhea outstretched her arms as she stood over the prone form of Quintessa Flare, displaying her dominance and making the crowd cheer. It was time to end this! It was time for... The Final Rampage!*

*Rhea Rampage lifts Quintessa Flare's body up, gets into position, and executes her finishing move! The Final Rampage is a combination of a Pump-Handle Powerslam/Meltdown and a Tombstone Piledriver, making it into the ultimate devastating finisher! In brutal efficiency, Rhea Rampage spikes Quintessa Flare with The Final Rampage and pins her in a dominant fashion as her lay atop Quintessa's body. She was akin to a mighty predator that had just slain its prey as the referee made the 3 count!*

Referee: 1...! 2...! 3...!

*The bell rang, the crowd explodes with cheers and applause, Rhea Rampage's music began to play, darkness blackened out the surroundings of the arena, a dim azure-white lit the ring, and Uncle Wyatt stepped into the ring holding his glowing, smoking lantern and stood beside the crouching form of Rhea Rampage.*

Ring Announcer: The winner of this match is... RHEA RAMPAGE!!!

*Uncle Wyatt leaned down, giving Rhea a kiss on the cheek. Rhea smiled at him, and they both began laughing maniacally over the unconscious form of Quintessa Flare. Rhea spread her arms as she remained on her knees, looming over the defeated Quintessa like she was a sacrifice, all while Uncle Wyatt held the glowing lantern high. Unbeknownst to Rhea, a single tear fell from her right eye and streamed down her cheek. She had accomplished her goal of entering the GWA, defeating one of their top competitors, winning over the sold out crowd in the stadium, and honoring the legacy of her parents with her beloved Uncle Wyatt by her side. For this was just the beginning of her illustrious GWA career!*

"RAMPAGE! RAMPAGE! RAMPAGE!"

"RHEA! RHEA! RHEA!"
