Elements of Opposition 16, first scene (Patreon)

I've been getting very, very little writing done, mostly because I was recovering from chemo, and then I had surgery, and I was trying to catch up on my work.

Anyway, I am trying to come back. I'm doing a version of NaNo this month where I'm trying to work on The Cold At The Heart Of The Light, my original novel, but I wanted to at least finish the scene that opens this chapter. I've also done some work on Last Draconequus I will probably post here.
