If you've been around this kitchen for some time now you already know that -my banner + the title updates- has either good or bad news, no in between.

This time is no exception to that rule.

Remember the last post ft. our beloved sister of battle? I wrote this:

"These past 2 weeks have been kinda hectic IRL and I'm afraid not all are gonna be good news (but we'll discuss that later)"

Well... that "later" is now.

Since this year 2024 started, many things weren't going exactly well.

• Account suspension on the 1st quarter of the year.

• Game development delays.

• The UNITY disaster (this one resulted in re-doing the game completely).

• And last but not least, the situation my programmer is going through (which I'm about to explain).  

A few months ago I mentioned the game project programmer was having some IRL problems, at the time, we decided not to elaborate too much on the topic because everyone and I mean everyone has problems on their daily life, from small to big, from mild to dire, but everyone has them, we simply didn't think they would escalate to this level.

I'll be as brief as possible and of course not gonna mention any private or personal information to protect my programmer's privacy.

Now with his permission I'll inform you why the game project is temporary paused.

The game programmer has been in a long chain of "unfortunate events" let's say, or as we like to call it "character development arc" (it's a joke of course, a bit dark but works) since 2023, it all started with a common problem nowadays, divorce.

I will not give too much details about this but let's just say the woman was not exactly honest with him and from this event some bad things branched, among those, his responsibilities multiplied and his resources were almost non existent after she was asked to leave (yes, you know how it is).

Unfortunately after these events his health started decreasing but something was off, it wasn't just the expected sadness a person would feel after a divorce or overwork (which he was subjected to in order to recover from the financial loss the separation meant), eventually (months later) he is diagnosed with a life threatening condition and in need of a transplant (I won't disclose which organ), and... that takes us to present day, where he is being treated at the hospital as we speak, (testing, preparation for the transplant to be in optimal conditions, necessary meds. etc.) if everything goes well, he should be receiving the transplant in just a few months.

Neither he or me wanted to have to tell this much about the situation but there have been SO many delays that I felt like we owe you, the supporters an explanation of what is going on.
