SOS Bros React - HunterxHunter Episode 61 - Gaming the Game

*In a Shiro voice* You see, when you play games, you have fun XD In all seriousness though, that bit of internal monologue on Killua's part near the end was amazing. I hope we get to see more of that. What did you think of the episode? Leave your thoughts in the comments below, we'd love to chat with you! Jacky Lin

for a second i was like, dont they usually upload the full leng.. oh...

Daniel Chapman

This really butters my eggroll

Kingjasco

But isn't finishing the game enjoyment as well. Finishing a game brings me the greatest enjoyment, if you ask me.

Kingjasco

Nah, that's not what I took from the episode. From my understanding, the transformation limit is how many cards there are of a particular type. Like the fish was F-185 so there are 185 cards of that type. That's what I thought it was, that's just me though

Andrew

Not quite. 185 means only 185 cards of that fish can exist so if there was 185 cards of that fish then no one else will be able to get that card until someone uses theirs or someone with that card dies.

Matheus Henrique Silva Rosa

actually in greed island you find items that turn in cards so you can put in the book, after you transform the card back in a item you can't transform back in to a card so you have to find the item again

Erik Ekelund

Only if it posed a challenge and/or the story was good. For those guys, the idea of completing the game in 3 months just by monopolizing cards sounded great, but Gon wanted to enjoy the game (the little detours). It's more of a challenge that way rather than teaming up with like 50 people and having it easy.

Anonimowy Gaal

You better appreciate Greed Island, while you can :P For some things you can't be prepared, guys ^^

Zeemod

Oh man is there like another tier where I can get access to the next 2 episodes right away already?!?! ...I have a problem...

Silver Bard Games

Does anyone know how long they've been told to avoid the opening? I've never been bothered by opening spoilers, but for people who are, this would basically have spoilers for the whole arc.

kevinup

seriously. such a big deal over the opening. are the same people going to tell them not to watch the opening for the next arc for 15 episodes until the ak shows up? ridiculous... i want to see their reaction for everything opening included!

Aya

You guys can start watching the ending next episode, it really doesn't have any spoilers in it. And yeah, this episode was a little exposition heavy, but I personally didn't mind it. I think this arc gets better about that the further it goes. Also, that scene with Killua and Gon at the end is one of my favourites of the show. They really have such a great friendship, one of my faves from any show I've watched tbh. Can't wait for you to see more of the pink dress girl :)

Legion

I watched the OP for this arc the first way through and I didn't feel like I got spoiled. A lot of those are out of context and seem spoilery after the fact. It's even weirder since what I assume is people are considering spoilers has already happened to an extent on a much smaller scale

The Soldier

they would get alot from the op so no they shouldnt watch it till ark is finished

Zeemod

There are some people who I've seen watch the OP of CA arc and somehow never noticed a certain character and his three underlings despite that they were firmly highlighted right at the end of the OP framed in a way that made it obvious who or what they were. I think that person was an outlier, and most anyone else could easily EASILY gleam a metric fuck ton of future plot material from it. Considering the format of them theorizing what is going to happen next, that can be ruined by the OP literally leading them by the nose and eliminating possible theory discussions. I watched the OP but only because I had no one to warn me and I wasn't creating a channel based on reacting and theorizing. But to be sure I'd be curious to see if they think having them avoid this OP was worth it once they watch it and what that might mean in conjuncture with them also not watching the CA arc's OP.

Jirayut Ouipadchawong

of course it spoils, not only on Genthru but on Biska too, and the fact that the arc is based on card and also on the special techniques of Gon and Killua

Damiester

Complaining about the exposition while also wanting the "game" to be unique is just too contradictory to make sense. You're just looking for things to complain about at this point.

Zii

That art style gives me Vietnam-like flashbacks of future moments though...

Jonboi

“it’s like the author wanted to be a game designer but got forced into being a mangaka” i spit my gatorade out when u said that

Anonymous

Are they still skipping the opening? omg come on.... Present a character it's not a spoiler

BennLimos

If they are just reacting, sure it wont be a big deal to watch the opening but, they are discussing the episodes for 20 minutes so watching the opening would spoil and mess up the discussions.

BennLimos

Yeah I agree with the Vietnam-esque reference lol, or NoKor-ish works too. This arc is most enjoyable during re-watch because here you will appreciate all the attention to detail Togashi put into the arc.

AardBard

Dude, you cannot watch that opening and tell us that it doesn't spoil stuff in the GI arc. They'll watch it eventually, but let the things in the actual show be fresh to them.

Clare

Good reaction though I do think they're judging it far to quickly, its the first episode guys, don't give up hope!

AardBard

They'll watch it once the last twist that would be spoiled appears in an episode. So they should be able to safely watch it in Ep69 IIRC. Blame the anime staff for giving so much away in the OP, lol.
