Oooh, danger is brewing!! We've got Kerrigan over there brooding (in every sense of the word.) At least this Kite guy seems to really know his stuff. Props on a way to make him seem antagonistic but then really not be. Maybe he can teach Gon and Killua some more about Nen from where Bisky left off? What did you think of the episode? Oh I dropped it cause the characters didn’t justify its length. Like I like Gon and Killua but I don’t love them. So when they kept introducing characters in this arc, I was just fed up especially when the story is the real star of the show and not the characters

yeah this arc takes by far the most time (i think around 60 episodes) however if you make it more that 10-15episodes trough the ark you should get super hyped for what its building up to. its one of those things where you will want to skip parts but once you get to a certain lengh you will want to go back and watch what you skipped

No I watched climax of the arc then watched the final election arc. Then I went back to rewatch early episodes of the chimera ant arc. Lol but nothing is going to make me rewatch it again. I can never rewatch this arc again 😂

It's a long build up to one of the best culminations of any arc in any fiction in my opinion. I don't think you can appreciate the climax as much without the 30 episodes of build up and slow character development. It's 30 episodes of oppression and sadness.

Like I said I went to rewatch the whole arc so I get what you’re saying. But personally like I said, a lot of the buildup was character focused with a lot of characters introduced. And considering I liked Gon and Killua but I didn’t love them. It just didn’t hit home with me cause I just felt I didn’t want to see some of these characters on screen. It was a fantastic arc story wise but my favourite was the one with Allucka. I really liked her character and the whole illumi, Killua dynamic. So it’s not like the chimera ant arc didn’t pay cause I watched till episode 100 then skipped to the climax. Finished the series. Then restarted the chimera ant arc again later and watched it in its entirety. My problem with the arc wasn’t anything with writing. Although I was very annoyed when the ants got nen which was a huge turnoff. But was more subjective. Like this arc was with characters I loved liked from Gintama or something else it would hit home more. And I think while this story is one of the best to come out of the Medium but isn’t as talked about as other shounen is because it’s down to the characters ( we’ll at least for me) a lot love the story but I wouldn’t say Gon is like their favourite character or something

Woah, never heard that statement about HxH before. The characters in HxH are like the best thing haha.. It's the combination of the awesome characters and the story that makes the show.

Damn it, one of (IMO) the best arcs in anime history with (also IMO) the best reactors i've ever watched. I'm so happy i could cry, but i'm gonna keep my tears for certain episode.

Actually, Mito did fight Ging in court for custody of Gon. That’s what happened in the original manga. It’s just that the 2011 anime changed it but it’s no big deal

Gon doesn't see Ging as much as of a father but someone he finds very interesting. That's why when Mito gave Gon the Black box when he came back to whale island with Killua, he stopped saying father, but rather starting calling him by name, and ever since then ​he calls him Ging n​​ot father.

Pretty sure Ging was a double-star hunter. Kite mentioned that he qualified for triple-star, but never bothered with actually obtaining it.

Damn Gon and Killu improved so much from their training with Bisky, but they are still weak as hell compared to Kite...it's not even close

Damiester, yes the mods are telling them when is "safe" to watch the opening. Actually the mods asked us in the Discord, the community decided. What I'm saying is that not watching it until it's free of spoilers is their decision, because they don't want any help making predictions. Caleb explained it in a voice chat.

If you want to be certain you're not spoiled i cant blame you for skipping the op. There are a few things in this op that might be more fun for you guys to experience without seeing it. but i hope you dont go the next 40 episodes without seeing it though its really good.

I don’t get it, why? Just... why? I watched the OP with this reaction and oh my, oh my, it spoils so freaking much. Right now I’m really glad I’ve also skipped it during my first time with the show.

I'm also super relieved SOS bros quickly recognize the true highlight of this story arc is once the King comes into play because the Queen part dragged quite a bit. Of course all of it still absolutely necessary for how everything plays out. I've dreamt of watching this arc with them for a long time now! P.S. One awesome point that wasn't brought up is : Upon finishing GI, you are allowed to bring back 3 restricted-slot cards back to the world as items. Accompany and Magnetic Force aren't restricted-slot cards. Ging predicted that Gon would exploit the loophole and use Paladin's Necklace to bring either A or MF back to the real world. Keikaku doori : Ging > Aizen

idk, they tend to feel like they are being "insulted" when the show takes the burden upon itself to make sure the viewer understands what's happening. so i'm a bit worried.

Yeah, this is my concern as well. This arc works best when watching the whole thing on one go, or at least later parts. When you think about it, the narrator is kind of necessary, because the whole infiltration operation lasts like, what, a couple of mins? So it's there to add to the scenes.
