I mean I get your point, there is a bit of gender bias from them but Palm COULD totally be 17 years old I can't really tell the difference between a 17 years old girl and a 22 years old girl in real life except for how the talk or how they dress let alone if she is an animated character...

I believe Palm is 22 if I remember correctly though. But yeah there's nothing more anime than a character looking a certain age but being much older or much younger.

There is something you missed about the pipe being pulled out of Knov's ability: it was a simple way of getting around the border control; you can not bring metal into NGL. HxH is very consistent that way. That was also a very clever exposition of Knov's ability along Morel's.
