Gon became a hunter so he could track down his dad, therefore he is a Hunter Hunter. That is where the title comes from

the first hint of Gon having a dark side was actually me feeling weird about Gon's reaction to knowing Killua's family are all assasins when i was reading the manga for the first time. i was like " something isn't right about this" hunter x hunter was one of the only manga i ha growing up(my sister's) i am not even going to bother how many times i've read them

i rewatched the first few arcs just once, but everything including the chimera ant arc at least 4 times. I think after you have finished the series it might become more clear why many people think this is rewatchable.

It's not important at all but "ika" means "squid" in Japanese. Ikalgo's looks doesn't fit his name and that's why Killua said "Aren't you an octopus ?"

HxH is definitely far far far better on a second watch, imo. I greatly enjoyed it on my first watch, but I appreciated it so much more on my second watch (have seen it a dozen times now, lol)

I just realized that the hunter x hunter logo was very intentional because they reflect each other...its super interesting. it really does foreshadow gon x killua

hunter x hunter is the one story i dont ever want an ending to (kinda) because i am so fascinated and invested with the world and its characters. The one downside is that we actually may never get an ending T_T
