Didn’t they announce in the poll post that klk was supposed to come out today when the berserk finale goes public

R_K41

You should react to the third Berserk movie instead

Razzlion

THIS. They should read the manga and review it after each chapter or something like that, i would LOVE to hear their thoughts on that master piece

Bryan Rojas

Griffith's true dream was to be a singer all along.

Steven Fechter

They should have watched at least the eclipse version of the third movie. Its pretty disappointing they didnt. At least we get this one more week of berserk before its replaced with a show for horny 12 year olds.

Dylan Hopson

Just here with the daily reminder that KLK is aimed at elitists not 12 year olds. The fanservice is jokingly self aware and fun,and the story is aimed at fans of both Fooly Cooly, Gurren Lagann and Evangelion. Literally only anime elitists and classic anime fans still remember it

Stu

Totally agree. The entire eclipse is better in the movie and the animation is fine.

GenericSideCharacter

Any chance we’ll get to see their reactions to the Kill la Kill outtakes at the end of the series?

SogekingVinesmoke

While I agree with Dylan’s opinions on KLK, I must say that being an elitist isn’t really much of a positive. Also, while there is plenty of substance to be found, style is often prioritized. However, there’s enough depth that I never found this obnoxious or intolerable. Style over substance isn’t always a negative.

Dylan Hopson

Style IS substance, but they have great writers too. Aesthetic = Narrative

Dylan Hopson

An elitist is literally just someone who has watched way more than most, thought long about what they have seen, and come to realize that they aren't the same kind of fans as the casual anime crowd. If it wasn't for us, anime would never have been officially licensed in America in the first place. We are the OG bootleggers, fansubbers and distributors of anime magazines. We watched EVERYTHING including the bad stuff so you know the classics from the forgettable. Elitists aren't so bad. All the "lol casual" memers don't mean to insult, they just poke fun. We want to share our appreciation for the greats with everyone

SogekingVinesmoke

No offense intended, my dude. For the record though, I’ve met a fair share of intensely serious “casual hater” elitists out there on the web. What you describe seems less like elitism, in the way most fans see it anyway, and more like being an extremely passionate, dedicated, and contributory fan of the medium, and that’s awesome, so long as people acknowledge that, regardless of objective quality, tastes and preferences are subjective. Stay cool man. Also, I totally agree that, most of the time, style equates to substance.
