I think the reason Polnareff was unable to unsheath the sword in front of the entire group was that Anubis figured out he wouldn't be able to beat all three of them at the same time. That's why it allowed Polnareff to unsheath it when he was alone. Basically waiting for a strategic advantage.

2021-07-08 06:18:56 10:44-10:53(& a bit before the clip) Here's a funny, little-known fact!: Every movement by Polnareff and his Silver Chariot - even from the blade slashing, shining, shooting, and ricocheting into Chaka's throat - follow the beats of the BGM there. My friend, who hasn't read or let alone watched JoJo (but, who is a film buff!), pointed this out to me upon showing off to him just that scene from the anime. Also, as an aside, Chaka has the same voice as Ghirahim from Zelda: Skyward Sword while Neferpitou in Hunter x Hunter is also Fi in the same game

2021-07-08 06:18:56 I prefer to think that when DIO sent out the Nine Egyptian Gods they all went out, but Anubis was all like, "Um, boss, I could USE some assistance on the whole, MOVEMENT thing." 8/ Dio: UGH.
