There has been zero indication that Johan wants the book or wants "all the copies". I don't know where you came up with that idea, but he couldn't care less who has the other copies. Absolutely nothing in the show has implied that he would want the books.

I think it was the issue that the Japanese businessman knew about the book and that the "blond secretary of Schuwald" wanted it. There is no way the businessman would know about the book unless Johan wanted him to know, so we can guess that Johan at least wants A book.
