Having been a patron or a youtube follower for over a year, I think this will be my favorite series for you to react to. And that's even with Berserk, AOT, Monster and so many other of my (higher ranked) favorites being in your playlists as well. This show is just so much fun.

your subs are odd, ive never seen them refered to as ultima uniforms and godclothes or w/e. always just seen it left as goku uniform and kamui, which i suppose is the translation

"Goku" and "Kamui" aren't translations at all though, lol.

It's just that the Underwater subs actually try to translate certain terms whereas the official subs you'd find for this show just transliterate words like "Kamui" and "Goku" without communicating to the viewer what those Japanese words might actually mean in terms of the kanji used and such.

I’m glad you guys aren’t treating this like it’s just a fan service show. It gets that a lot from people who don’t like it, but it really does recapture the magic of Gurren Lagann in a lot of ways while also doing its own thing.

It truly is very fanservicey though, just more blunt and comedic about it (which is the way to do it if you want to do fanservice at all imo, but it still is what it is). That might not be the only element to the show but it is a main one.

There’s no denying that, but those speaking negatively of KLK treat it like one of those generic panty shot anime because of the face value. And I won’t go and say it’s some Shakespearean literature, but KLK is far above those kinds of shows it’s often grouped up with. Much like Gurren Lagann it wears the fan service like a badge.
