SOS Bros React - HunterxHunter Episode 123 - Blue Balled

Well this episode certainly had it's work cut out for it. I mean, they had to put this episode somewhere, but man...cutting away from the Netero and Meruem fight...that's just rough. All in all though, it was a surprisingly heartfelt episode. Follow us on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/semblanceofsanity_YT What did you think of the episode? Zacke

Welfin got shot 3 times... ;] (making it harder for Nox by taking out some easy ones, heheh)

Woodsie89

wow, this is one of the shortest discussions we've had in a while.

Auxiliary

This is one of my favorite episodes in the show. Another showcasing of Togashi's masterful character crafting.

Nox

...darn you Zacke I was totally going for "Welfin was taken down in 3 shots..."

Nox

None of the 3 royal guards were shown for the first time since mission start..... 3rd slot?

Samsara

Someone has to tell them that Gyro was only shown in the manga and immedialy regained his memories as ant and did not follow any orders from the Queen. He then dissapeared but would be playing a huge part in the story later according to the manga.

R_K41

Someone tell them that Gyro escaped after being reborn as a Chimera Ant with his memories intact and left NGL around the time of Knuckle's introduction. Let them know that so they don't bother with the "Meruem's true identity is Gyro" theory and waste time, the anime skipped that scene that's why it's confusing for Anime onlys. https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Wi6c41l10ws/WBzDkajVVmI/AAAAAAABgCI/55dAYl-5fQQ9vy0qEFOLpGjYeumJDyWGwCHM/s16000/0204-009.png

To be honest, they should have just left the backstory out of the anime all together to avoid the confusion.

Ezutess

The backstory was good, even without any continuation. People just need to understand that plot points can be left for later.

Casioka

How are y'all learning the words to this song? XD

Ezutess

I'm more on the side of keeping everything in, as aside to cutting it. To be honest, if they wanted to change anything, they should have just had a thirty second scene explaining what happened to Gyro, just like the manga did.

Ashley Saari

I can't wait for the next episode...$10 says Caleb sheds some tears...I know I always do.

Woodsie89

Oh, I agree, if they kept that, then there would be no problem, but because they took it out, they should have taken the flashback out as well, to be consistent. Both or neither would have made this a more solid Anime. But because they left just the flashback in, it causes a lot of confusion, and unneeded speculation.
