Because it came up in this episode again: Tsukimoto is voiced by the same Voice Actor as Tsukishima in Haikyuu. The reason for their similar names is that "Tsuki" apparently means moon which is used in both shows as the symbol for the characters personality (calm and intelligent, complex characters). You can see Tsukimoto having moonsymbols on most of his things (his ping pong bag for example, or the robot in his game). Similarily Peco is symbolised by stars, Kazama by a Dragon and Sakuma (aka "Akuma") by a demon. Paying attention to these symbols reveals a lot in this anime

lol Kong Wenge's Chinese name is kinda weird. First of all his surname Kong is the same character/word as Confucius, Kong Zi. But then for some reason the author chose Wenge, which literally translates to the shorthand of Cultural Revolution. That's some really touchy subject to bring up. Btw, I am Chinese so I'm speaking from a mother tongue's stand point. The Japanese author may have just used the characters cause he felt it sounded cool.

lol 文革 just stands out too much as a stigma of modern history.

I dont think Kong has a specific symbol here that characterizes him. But i think thats because him missing home and his mother is constantly shown by the symbol of the plane. This is what characterizes him most in my opinion so maybe they thought any more symbols for him would have been overkill
