I'd like to formally admit I was pretty dead wrong about Clover. I thought for sure he was a double-agent. I know I wasn't alone in my suspicions as I've seen many in the fandom theorize if Clover, more, or even all of the Ace-Ops were secret agents for Salem. But I was wrong. Sorry Clover. It's actually kinda heartbreaking seeing his end play out because you could see how painful it was for both he and Qrow to have it come down to this. But Clover was a military man through and through. And he clearly trusted Ironwood's judgement (good or bad). But I will say this in defense of Qrow's questionable decision to "team up" with Tyrian to fight Clover. I think that Qrow was, first and foremost, not in the right headspace during this fight. He was still reeling from the "betrayal" of Clover, he was just in a plane crash, and he was probably very concerned for Ruby, Yang and the rest of the kids he's been keeping an eye on as he knows they're likely in Atlas Academy right now, and wanted by the entire military. So for all those reasons, I can forgive his poor choices during this episode. He honestly probably thought he could use the help to knock out Clover, and he was confident that he could take Tyrian in a 1-on-1 fight, especially since Tyrian's aura was wiped out in the earlier fight. It maybe recharged some on the short flight, but then probably took another heavy hit to keep him alive through the crash. So Qrow probably felt he had Tyrian easy. And, to be fair, we saw Qrow take at least one swing at Tyrian even after they made their uneasy pact. So he wasn't above cheap-shotting him either.

good stuff

btw bros, love the work you do, but very surprised the reactions up early LMAO

I think the biggest blame is on Clover for still attacking Qrow when Tyrian shows up. As far as Robyn there's a tumblr post I saw that points out that she didn't load the bolt in her weapon until /after/ Clover confirmed he was going to arrest Qrow and threatened to arrest her (the "don't make me arrest you too" line), she probably would've backed down if he wasn't blindly following orders without figuring things out. Anyways, can we talk about how well Tyrian kept his end of the bargain, could have easily killed Qrow a couple of times after the team-up.

I mean, it IS a pretty big episode. I was expecting them to release it earlier than usual, and I'm not disappointed.

I’m not mentally ready for this finale.

I also blame Ironwood a lot for training students to be members of the military where their orders matter more than saving lives, even their own.

Leo lost his courage, Ironwood lost his heart, Qrow lost his mind

Riru (〃^▽^〃)

I have to say, we've been told time and time again that Qrow's semblance is not something to scoff at. We've been told how he prefers to work alone, how that led to his alcohol abuse. But to actually see Qrow's semblance in action here really adds a lot of weight to everything that his character did and represented in the past, including his backstory. If you think about it, his entire old team (Tai, Summer, and Raven) either abandoned the group or died, leaving Qrow alone. He only really has Ruby and Yang left. I'm very interested to see where his character goes from here.

You do know that just about every military academy on the planet does something similair, especially for Special Forces?

Episode after episode Caleb said how obvious Clover being a traitor was. Biiiiiig oooof to eat your words
