The damage thing was because it was a remote control but with the ability to control it directly. Long range, super high power, no control makes it so its an automatic stand like Sheer Heart Attack. Long range, moderate power, direct control, damage makes it like Clash. Super long range, low power, direct/remote control, no damage, makes it like Lovers. So it didnt necessarily break the rules.

remote control doesn't mean "automatic". it means direct control at a distance. "long distance automatic" is a more accurate name for stands like Black Sabbath and SHA. I recognize that they are referred to interchangeably but the difference is pretty clear. I really like the system of tradeoffs for stands in jojo and feel like it's pretty intuitive. Part 6's main character has a really interesting stand in that respect, that makes those rules even clearer imo.

I absolutely love the "SHOOT, MISTA! (?)" moment. After a somewhat silly and extremely funny introduction, they show how Talking Head's main utility is to make you an active danger to your comrades. It was a battle of two combat stands using their respective support stands to their advantage. Next week... meat boy comin'

"remote control doesn't mean "automatic". it means direct control at a distance." You're right; I'm an idiot.

Well, you said "The damage thing was because it was a remote control". I assumed "it" was Clash.
