my favorite part of dr stone is that the roadmap segments are in the conventional sense "filler", versus the conflict with tsukasa being the main plot. but because it's so interesting it basically turns the entire show into "the good part" instead of there really being a sense of "man i hope the main plot starts advancing again soon"

If yall like the type of character that goes with the flow and/or "bullshit" his way through this, Overlord is a great place. One of my fav series, even if the animation itself can be rather shoddy but the story/world is absolutely worth it. I hope one day yall react to it

idk if they can really be called filler, since its part of the plan. Filler in general as i have understood it is either something that wasnt in the source material, or something that 100% doesnt have anything to do with the plot. The Roadmaps are neither of those They are both in the source material and also are significant to the plot

Overlord was on polls over a year ago but lost very very close to Kill la Kill and after that also pretty close to Devilman Crybaby. After that it kind of vanished from the polls and i think Jacob has seen it by now

to me filler are material in an anime that wasnt there in the original material wether that is a novel or a manga and whose content does not further the main plot i still think a backstory or side story kinda thing can be considered non filler if it was either there in the original material too or has a direct impact/point of being there in terms of the main story of the show :) stuff like all those random side story this happened too kinda fillers from naruto is a great example of anime filler where pretty much all of it if i remember correct was not there in the manga and they didn really impact the actual story it was just there to stretch time whenever it caught up with the manga
