Roday's lesson in aerodynamics... It is not the wend buffeting that would cause the problem. At mach speeds, the air compression would heat up the air extremely. Even on planes such as super sonic fighter jets, they can only maintain afterburner flight speeds for limited periods of time, otherwise the hull of the aircraft would start to melt. Another fun fact: The Concorde must be painted white, because the frame can barely sink the heat from the air, and the heat from the sun shining on it would melt the hull if traveling at it's cruise velocities and was painted a non-white color. Also, Mach 20 is in the orbital velocities range, so, him traveling at those speeds in atmosphere should be leaving a trail of flame like a meteorite. But, this is anime, so it is just me being a pedantic asshat for trying to apply real life physics.
