facts: That Kotaro's collecting dirt is refers to the famous ritual of the loser of the Japanese High School Baseball Championship. Nowadays, it is a tradition for players to pick up the soil and take it home after the last match at Koshien(Baseball stadium), but it is not clear when it took root. For the 3rd grade members, it is expressed as "summer is over" with the meaning that high school baseball life will end if they lose other than the final of this tournament, and the team that lost in the middle of the tournament will collect the soil of Koshien immediately after the match. Also, some first and second graders do not take it home with the meaning of returning again. Some player collecting soil with sobbing and audience has sobbing too.
