Just to comment on the bro's analysis in this episode. First, even if he was not baited to attack, Steinmetz had to engage Yang at the black hole in some form. If he choose to standoff without fighting, the Yang fleet will get news of a massive empire fleet incoming and just run away, making the entire empire advance a wasted trip.

Second, on the idea of splitting the empire fleet in two and half taking Heinessen, it will not win the war. the Yang fleet will harass the other half fleet in space with guerilla warfare, slowly eating them away. Even just keeping the empire fleet in that area will damage them. Once supplies ran out, the half fleet in space will retreat. Yang can then return to Heinessen, defeat the other half fleet and retake the capital.

The sole advantage Yang had over the empire is time and supplies. The entire space system is able to support the Yang fleet for a protracted war if necessary. The massive empire fleet cannot sustain a long campaign without supplies eventually running out. The one and only way for the empire to win is to corner the Yang fleet and defeat them piecemeal, and they have very limited time to achieve this.
