I think Caleb has been putting Willy in way too much of a negative light out since he was introduced, like he's evil or something. Willy even said in this episode unlike the previous Tyburs, when he became head he tried making world connections to improve the Eldian's reputation. The "they'll just be Eldians, you've killed plenty of them yourself, just keep doing it!" to Magath seemed more accusatory in the heat of the moment, not that Willy is some horrible villain who loves seeing them dead. Willy's got problems, but, there's plenty way worse than him.

Caleb is never interested in characters that don't have direct connection to main characters, that has been a consistent flaw with him and by extension Jacob since the start of their youtube channel.

That's fair Artficial, Willy is far away from the worst but just because I see some his actions as shitty doesn't mean I think he's evil/good. Ricardo, you must have a spreadsheet because wow that's a lot of shows and characters lol. Especially given you've been around since the beginning, that's a LOT. Hyperbole and all encompassing statements too? Do you have any helpful feedback as to how this consistent problem can be rectified?

that being said, more context may or may not be given further into the season. there wouldn't even be a problem if this were the thought pattern. These things are discussed at length though on their twitch streams. The line about them being "devils themselves" will likely be a good topic of discussion then.

keep reacting bros. I would hate it absolutely if you felt your enjoyment of the show should in any way be compromised by how your thoughts and feelings are portrayed throughout. Personally, I felt like we got sidetracked a bit speaking about how the transition would be like if the warhammer died randomly. However, this is fine. You guys do great in the discussion on both youtube and twitch. The reaction portion should remain what it is, organic. thank you. these are definitely a bright spot in my day. I also don't believe it's a consistent problem. I've only followed AoT, Jojo's, and haikyuu. That being said I have not yet left these discussions 'empty handed'.

i still will not feel bad for this side of the sea because they tried taking the founding titan years ago FOR WAR killing 100's of thousands of innocent people in the process i will feel bad for the people with eldian blood that are just random civilians and have been brainwashed to think the eldians on paradis island are devils and i will feel bad for the kids training to be the next titan shifters but no one else on this side of the sea cause they all brought this on their selfs they CAUSED eren, mikaska, and every other person on the island to be the person they are now loved the reaction btw <3

Was not a fan of the use of 3d animation on the scouts this episode, it stuck out like a sore thumb. Hope they don't use it too much in the coming episodes.

I thought that CG titan eren was way worse. Look at how he looks. Its horrible... This scene is what, back then, made me decide to wait for the anime and stop reading the manga. I dont want to complain too much and im really holding back but my disappointment is actually immeasurable. No impacts (see warhammer take the swing, next shot is when the hammer already went down - missing impact), awkward movements.... It completely kills all the immersion and i cant ignore it. I decided to just stop watching the anime and continue reading the mange. Waiting really didnt pay off for me :( And before we get some samaritans here: Im not attacking mappa or anyone who likes this. I understand that mappa is small and they probably had budget and time constraints. Fine. But I dont have to like this

Mappa isn't small, Mappa is 5 times bigger than WiT for example, but they had barely like 10 months to animate it all and they did the best they could and also the CGI didn't look bad at all, I would say that mostly on you and other people that hated the CGI, because this season so far has been great and well animated imo

The cg on the titans didn't bother me that much, because the titans are supposed to be unsettling and stand out. The scouts on the other hand, when you go from a cg jean, to a 2d jean, the difference in style is super jarring. Their faces are just so expressionless in the cg models. I'm still enjoying it, but I think it would be hard for anyone to argue, that it is a noticeable drop in quality from wit. And maybe that's just in the beginning, and they saved most of their budget for later episodes, we'll just have to wait and see.

Willy meant noting like "I don't care about bunch of Marleyan died. " or " Eldian deserves it." neither "I want to be the Helos." His goal is to restore the human rights of Eldian and to unite the world against the Paradis. He DOES care about Marleyan and Eldian Marleyan as well. So he chose Magath who seems to agree with his idea that the military brass has to be totally replaced for rebuilding the collapsing country. And they let Eren do it. His conclusion may have been ruthless, but as you know, he had no choice.

In addition, Willy's line"Most of them will be Eldian! They’re spawn of the devil !" wouldn't be a perfect translation. It supposed to be like "They’re spawn of the devil right!?" or "YOU've been calling them spawn of the devil!". He was being sarcastic to Magath like his saying "Don’t give me such a fine sounding talk! It’s just what you always do!" I guess the translation is bad though I was kind of disappointed that anyone wouldn’t understand his feeling at this scene.
