yea, also it seems they forget aswell that Beatrice is a spirit, which was mentioned by Frederica. Also the reason why Frederica left the mansion is as far as i remember only mentioned in the LN during the first conversation with Roswaal in the Sanctuary.

A spoilerless reminder that Subaru's "Witch's Scent/Miasma" actually increases whenever he Returns By Death or attempts to talk about Return By Death since it 'Calls' the Witch of Envy. It's shown a few times in Season 1: Rem being more suspicious and less friendly after the first Mansion Arc death/Loop and during the fight with the White Whale when Rem says quite bluntly that he reeks after he 'attempts' to talk about it (though in this case he was abusing the fact to lure in the Whale). So every time Subaru's walked out of the Trial Site so far after Returning By Death, the Miasma will have definitely been worse than before he walked in - possibly even progressively so each time.

The thing is Garfiel didn't act only because of the smell. The main reason was the Witch's scent plus the fact that Subaru wanted to do the trial alone. The thought process where he comes to this conclusion is very well described in the LN during his stay in that room. Each loop Subaru acted more sus towards Garfiel, thats also why his behaviour so far changed every loop. =)

Oh definitely, I didn't mean to suggest otherwise XD I just wanted to bring it up since nothing about it was brought up by the Bros in the part of the discussion where they were theorizing about why the Scent had gotten worse.

I have to jump in and say that I don't think the "kashira" that gets translated as "I suppose" from Japanese has that meaning of "being reluctant to do something" that it does in English, it just has the meaning of being a bit uncertain about what you just said

Meaning depends on context. It can convey worry, doubt or curiosity. It can also be used to challenge or ridicule someone or to politely show reluctance to do something. But Beatrice uses it unnaturally, so its only purpose in most cases is to give Beatrice a somewhat snobby and ladylike air

yeah a bit surprised too that they didn figure that out both of em should be pure demon its just that in their race when twins are born they each get a horn instead of two and all that so yeah as far as we know both should be pure somehow they just forgot that
