Reinhard is a true king, exactly what Iskander from Fate Zero spoke of. "A king must be greedier, laugh louder, be more furious and show more zeal in his life than everyone else, someone who embodies the extreme of all things including good and evil. That's why his subjects envy and adore him, and why the flames of wanting to be like him can burn in the heart of every civilian. The king is he who collects the envy of all his heroes and stands as their guide", even the narrator in Lotgh brought up that point in ep 51: "What differentiates Reinhard from those unworthy rulers, is that often times he stands at the foremost of the frontline and leads by example." Caleb, you said before that you love Iskandar, but for some reason you always cringe whenever the civilians cheer for Reinhard without ever articulating the reason for why. You said right after the episode "that the idea of a person being the representation or a symbol for the masses is so...ugh". Please complete your thoughts before transitioning to different talking points in discussions, i'm not a mind reader. I wanted to understand your stance on the matter, but you didn't touch on it again.

Well if you want an Emperor writing down their personal thoughts, then you might wanna read Marcus Aurelius' book, "The Meditations". He certainly has a lot to say about what it's like to be a leader, the day to day tasks of what being Emperor is like, or even giving advice on how one can live a virtuous life. One of my particular favourite parts is when he is trying to convince himself to get out of bed and do his duty as an Emperor.
