Tooooo much cuteness in this episode

Star

I love this show so much! And while I love Hanako and Kabakura and this episode, I think how it played out could've been done better. Hanako completely disregarding Kabakura's feelings about cosplaying was extremely disrespectful. He kept saying no and explained why yet she kept pushing and eventually bribed him. I don't think doing exchanges is bad if it's more consensual rather than being pressured. I've done similar things in past relationships. Like one time I asked if they could go to a concert with me and in exchange I'll get them something because it was a group they weren't really a fan of, but I didn't wanna go alone. They were fine with that. I think that's perfectly reasonable. Unlike Hanako who basically guilt tripped him into doing it. Had it been done with more respect, it would've been a very cute moment. I also don't like that their fight in the second half wasn't really resolved at all. It always feels off whenever I watch it. Kabakura didn't console her with kind words. He just kept being rude, but with less yelling. If calling each other names is something ya wanna do in jest, fine. So long as both parties are aware that it's meant in an endearing way and it doesn't go overboard. Hanako asked why he does this shit yet he doesn't answer her. He just hugs her and pats her head. Like why don't you tell her that you're sorry? Say something legitimately nice to her! They can be a cute couple, but the whole, "We've been dating for so long so it's ok for us to treat each other like crap" is just bleh. This part would've been so much better had they talked things out properly.
