Damn,knowing later part of the story and disastrous finale special kinda regret for them wasting their time on Wonder Egg.Maybe they stop at episode 7 to not ruin their impression of the series? Although maybe it would be fun in a sense watching trainwreck occur and boys could be entertained by that.

This'll be an interesting one haha, but still worthwhile I think. Regardless of finale opinions, I still love the first 12 episodes - even the stuff after episode 7 is really good IMO, it's just disappointing in hindsight because of the lack of followup.

I hope that they'll skip the special episode and just leave it at that, even if the original finale is not super conclusive.

So like everyone says, the series really started falling off before absolutely imploding in the finale special episode. BUT since this isn’t a botched manga adaptation and just actually bad writing, I think they should finish this. If anything it serves as a case study lol. It’s not like TPN S2 where the adaptation drags the source material through the mud.

Yes!! I've really been looking forward to this show!! I do actually want them to finish this show!!! Even with the bad ending. The first half of this show is brilliant and I still want to see their reaction to the last few episodes to see what they think about it and what conclusions they have about it! I still think it's a really good show! The only thing I would skip is the recap episode. But that's about it.

Oof, I feel like people saying WEP only falls apart in the Special are nuts. Would've been much cooler to see them react to a subversive Magical Girl show that doesn't totally crumble half way through like Utena. Still, the first few episodes and direction are pretty neat.

Wonder Egg itself is still a great show to watch, just pretend it doesn’t have that special episode finale and accept it as a good show without an ending. The special retroactively ruins so much about the show, but it’s 100% possible to watch the show and enjoy it without ever learning how badly the special ruins everything.

The special is a dumpster fire for sure, but people put so much fault in it, as if the matches weren't already burning away before that lol. Everything from episode 9 is an escalating series of misses, with some sweet character moments that attempt to distract from mounting issues.

Lmao it's hella petty to say it broke it, because all the other episodes are still enjoyable. It's not like a single "bad" episode automatically makes the entire series "bad." That's such a narrow-minded way of looking at it, and weird too. How are you gonna be so weak-willed to let one single episode dictate everything else? XD

I think that series could wait a bit. There’s a lot of other shows in the backlog that are amazing as well. Nevertheless, I know Jacob will absolutely love this show since he is a huge fan of A Silent Voice.

ok, people are gonna be bitching about that final episode, so I'm gonna try to talk about some of the really good stuff: Ai's voice actress, Aikawa Kanata, absolutely fucking kills it in this show, she's a relative newcomer, but she's already so good. She reminds me a lot of Tomoyo Kurosawa, Kumiko's VA, who is also amazing, so I hope we see a lot more of her in the future. (also this show is fucking gorgeous)

Gonna be real, the first episode or two actually making it seem like the show might be a decent look at mental illness and grief and then the rest of it just kinda tossing all that aside for (well animated) miserable garbage is disappointing.
