Well this is an insane and pleasant surprise. I knew you were going to react to it eventually but not this soon. I love this movie so much and because of this short arc I always remember Rengoku as 1 of my favorite characters in this show. Everything about this movie the animation, emotions, fights and music makes it 1 of my favorite anime movies I have currently watched. Probably not top 5 but definitely top 10 or 15. I can't wait to see your reactions and what you thought about the movie. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

I'm curious where you guys watched this, as i've never see the subs say "Waxing" and "Waning" for them, the subs i've seen use Upper Moons and Lower Moons. Also where the 9th form for you was "Hellfire" the one i watched in theaters just said "Rengoku"

When I went to see this in theaters, i was just sat there crying my eyes out in a nearly empty theatre, and its one of the very few times I've sat through the entire credits sequence of a movie. Such a great choice for the first movie to see after the pandemic.

Rengoku translates to "purgatory", which when used as an adjective, means to "cleanse, purify, or purge". So either way, the 9th form is absolutely befitting

What's funny is, I just watched this with two of my siblings three days ago. After watching it this second time, I think the best way to sum up the outcome of Rengoku's and Akaza's fight is this. (From Rengoku's pov) I couldn't beat you, but I stopped you from winning, which means victory for me. (From Akaza's pov) You're just a human. How is it you can keep me from winning, even though I beat you?

Idk how many times I've seen this..... twice on my own (once in theaters, once on Funimation), and then... four times through reactions, so six times. And every single time these things get me: 1) Tanjiro having to leave his dream family. Starting with his initial leaving the house, and then with human Nezuko showing up, and then with his little bro crying after him just twisting the knife in my feels. 2) Hanae Natsuki's incredible voice acting. When Tanjiro became royally enraged after being shown his dead family drilling survivor's guilt into him. The way he told Enmu that his family would NEVER say that and not to ever insult his family, the anger in his voice was so visceral. And then there was the part with him yelling after Akaza and calling him out for running away. 3) Rengoku's death. The mother showing up in front of him just before he died sent me way over the edge of the feels cliff. 4) Matsuoka Yoshitsugu's voice acting as Inosuke. Especially the part when he was trying to Tanjiro to get his shit together, the whole time you can hear the crying in his voice. It was so well done, absolutely stung me in the feels there.
