Umm... ngl, that first 15 minutes of the discussion made ME feel uncomfortable... lol. Kinda feel like you should have just left that out, it made me feel like I was intruding on a really private conversation, it was really awkward.

I was kind of wondering if the first 12 mins of the post-reaction discussion was left in by accident or on purpose. I would say it's pretty brave (or bold at least) if the latter. It did make me uncomfortable maybe because they seemed uncomfortable and that rubbed off on me. But life is filled with discomfort and maybe something can be gained by showing such realness. At the very least, it was interesting to watch and it may provide context for the discussion that happened after (I haven't watched the full discussion yet, just 5 mins of the second take).

Communication is a hell of a thing, eh? I'm selfishly glad you guys are reacting to this series, because I know watching this show directly would provide rocket fuel for my own toxic brainworms. Thank you for providing an interpretive buffer for a show with such difficult events and themes.

Huh, what happened? What did Jacob do wrong? Is Caleb perhaps on the spectrum? (I am autistic myself, so no offense, obviously).

The first fifteen minutes of the discussion was an awkward/uncomfortable argument that I forgot to tell the editor to cut out, as we wanted to refresh the discussion having cleared the air in what ways this episode made me uncomfortable. The video has been made private until that part of the discussion has been removed in the YouTube editor. Certain aspects of this episode triggered me and I wasn't able to communicate my thoughts clearly until Jacob helped me out. The video will be available to view in an hour or so! Thanks for being understanding, and if there's any questions/concerns please let me know. - Caleb

Yeah that was supposed to be removed as I was not doing well emotionally or mentally after this episode. We usually leave everything in, but I was being quite unreasonable for a good portion of that earlier discussion bit. - Caleb

Jacob didn't do anything wrong, I was triggered a bit and having difficulty understanding/communicating my emotions. Appreciate the kind concern though :)!

Wished this was to your eternity instead

I'm glad you guys are editing it so the video is something you're comfortable with! WEP is hard to get through at times, and I hope you don't feel the need to watch this show if neither of you are in a good place mentally and emotionally. Health comes first. Take care guys!

Uncooked Reactions

I am sure you guys have probably recognized it already, But the landscapes the girls are fighting in are usually associated with their trauma. Even the girls in the eggs are related to what the trauma is associated with. Ai gets school bullying and cool girls who tell you don't worry about it, I'm fine on my own, I don't need help. Rika gets idol fangirls in a field of flowers that looks like her fan's coffin. Momoe gets sweet girls on the train who need protection and have crush on Momoe. Which might mean, Momoe's friend jumped in front of a train. Neiru gets attempted murder/suicide girls on a bridge. Also, I am not sure why their is always fireworks when she defeats the egg's trauma. Was it to signify, the incident happened on a new years day?

(PS: That said, please take care of yourselves. If you need to drop any show for your own mental/emotional well-being, please absolutely do. No anime is worth it if you’re subjecting yourselves to harm.)

I'm fairly sure the Worlds are related, both to the girls own trauma, but also to the one they're fighting for. With the notable exaption of Chiemi, All the statues are positioned in either the exact place they died or the place they commited to their fate. The point of no return if you will (I'm fairly sure this is brought up in the discussion but I recently watched WEP With a freind and might be getting mixed up.)
