I love this episode from the funny part to the more serious but heartwarming part of it. I’m going to keep my comments focused on Ouoh and Kureno because she’s an amazing character and any episode focusing on her is very welcome and he is such an interesting character. It’s great that Ouoh’s crush started thanks to a small similarity to Tohru but it became a lot more. Her determination & desperation when she sees him for the 1st time in a while shows just how big of a crush. I wasn’t paying enough attention to the opening so the end revealing he’s a Soma was shocking but I think I immediately got excited about Ouoh having a connection to the family that wasn’t through Tohru and what that could mean for stuff in the stories future. There is something so great about how honest/sincere with her emotions she is. It’s a great contrast between them with how she has a bold personality while he is more reserved. I very much relate to how much she loves food. It’s great that she can recognize someone who believes they are happy but are sad because of her experiences in the past. Her anger is not completely justified but an emotional response to someone not really caring when she has a big crush on them make sense. Although I think it shows just what an empathic person she is. The resolution feels good because it’s the 1st time he is completely open and truthful. The whole going in for a kiss and then pulling back part feels very obviously like he wants to but can’t or isn’t allowed to. I think the way Hana and Ouoh like to meddle in Tohru’s life is both hilarious and heartwarming. I like that she wants him to be proactive because if he doesn’t put in the same effort she would is not worth her time. Also she is a catch as a romantic partner if you don’t think so your wrong. I didn’t even think of him possibly being a replacement for Yuki I’m not sure that’s the case but even the thought of it is sickening. Just all the potential for the future with her personal connection with Kureno especially if it gives her more of a reason to support Tohru with helping the Soma’s if she finds out how bad the families issues are. I really liked your thoughts about this episode and what it means for the future although honestly I’m not sure what you’ll end up being right or wrong about. Finally the image of Ouoh beating the ever living shit out of Akito is hilariously awesome I really needed that LOL :-). I loved the reaction please keep up the great work. :-) <3
