Lairdom

To me it does make sense why the Nokkers attacked the villagers. The villagers were the ones who helped defeat the previous Nokker, so they do the same as they did with Gugu last arc and attack them first. But yeah every time the goonie squad shows up, the tension just disappears. None of them matter and we dont care if they die or not.

Preface: This comment isn't a complaint that you didn't like this arc btw, just me disagreeing with some of your reasoning. I'm kind of mystified why this turn of events feel contrived for you when this is the theme of the show repeating, Fushi encounters a group of people, learns to care about them, and then the nokkers follow Fushi and become a threat. I agree that this group of people aren't as easy to like as Gugu or March, but that's more of a failure of the previous episodes not making you guys care about them. For me who does care (and i disliked them to begin with just like you) i saw them be more complicated than they appear, how they care about eachother and so this event was just as effective as the Bear-nokker attacking Gugu. And all the whys are the same, the nokkers attack the islanders because they helped fushi fight previously, Fushi helps because that's who he is, and gee, the kids come to help because Tonaris life is in danger, i really don't understand why that would be odd. The only "odd" motive is Tonari not wanting to leave without Fushi, but she now knows that the nokkers are a real threat to Fushi because he could end up a mindless orb, if not destroyed. So, it's not a complicated show and this arc is not as good as the previous ones, but i don't think there are plotholes exactly. Finally, the nokkers have been more and more dangerous every time they appear, and is it really that strange if they can make cores out of thin air when that power is something Fushi has had the entire show? If anything i think it's cool how the nokkers aren't just bigger and more powerful when they come back, but they use actual tactics and strategies.
