Gay as fck, but without the fck cause I'm ace

It's a bit wierd with the modern day part of the show, they don't really use their smartphones like we would (because plot). I often forgot that they even had mobils while watching it.

Agreed that he could have easily just called Shorter, but that is one of the problems with adapting and older story so just ignore those inconsistencies.

Yeah I think having the anime be set in modern times was a bit of a dumb move. It's best just not to think about it too much and pretend that they don't have cell phones. That's one of the only things I think they kinda messed up in this adaptation.

The title of each episode is a short story. Each story is somehow related to the episode, be it a character’s feelings or the plot itself. This anime has so many well thought out details. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!

For sure, Ash is using Eiji here. But he trusts him enough to ask the Doctor to move the sample. I think you're looking at Ash with a Griffin-like lens. It isn't necessarily wrong, considering how he treats Max here. Interesting to see how your thoughts will develop :D I love the Shorter appreciation. There will be moments of comedy through this, but I don't think it ever ruins the tone or makes you less invested ( and I love Eiji but the poor sod was asking to be followed )
