Hiei's backstory is so boss. It rounds him out. I love his advice to Yukina because she's right, and if you have a brother, it's exactly the kind of advice you would get from them. 'Fuck em up'. I don't think you have it right about Hieis motivation though, it explains further the next episode.

The Guts reference is pretty cool to notice after several viewings before ever viewing Berserk. I probably would have missed it if you hadn't said something!

Shigure's character design is one of my favorites of the show.

Shigure pronounciation is like Shi Gu Re (re pronounced like ray). The e at the end sounds like an a sound. Similar to Sasuke, you don't say Sa su kee, it sounds like sa su kay.
