i kind of think of the little boy's wish to be an older brother who protects nanami to be a parallel to Utena's wish to be a protector/prince. it's noble to want to protect others, but it can also be very self destructive.

We love a Nanami episode! Fun fact, Nanami's evidently not in the Utena Manga, (she's in a background picture of her and Touga) but that's it. What a loss!
