Chapter 456: Lighting a Cigarette

Proposing reconciliation was a disguised surrender and submission of the Troupe, an unprecedented event since its founding, and the reason Phinks was extremely displeased.

However, sometimes the situation is stronger than people. Without reconciliation, the Troupe might face its greatest catastrophe ever.

At this moment, Chrollo had already recognized Luo's strength. He knew very well that Luo had always been considerate of Machi and the others, so he had been holding back.

Based on this fact, continuously testing Luo's limits had pushed the team to the edge of a cliff, even to the point where they couldn't afford the cost of a desperate fight.

If Uvogin and Nobunaga were willing to join the battle, Chrollo might still take the risk. But he knew that Uvogin and Nobunaga would never join the fight and also didn't want the Troupe to have a conflict with Luo.

Without Uvogin and Nobunaga, the chances of defeating Luo were almost nil. But with Uvogin and Nobunaga present, Luo wouldn't go for an all-out kill.

"I made a mistake."

Chrollo, as the leader, admitted his mistake from the bottom of his heart, and proposing reconciliation was to minimize the cost of his mistake.

Unfortunately, he overlooked Feitan, whose emotions were easily extreme...

The strength of one's mental state greatly affects Nen abilities. Additionally, human emotions can cause changes in the strength of Nen abilities, which is a double-edged sword that can either enhance or weaken them.

Feitan was enveloped in an aura with black patterns, the precursor to activating his Nen ability.

"Unforgivable Sin"

This was Feitan's Nen, activated under the conditions of physical injury and emotional rage.

Merely being kicked by Luo was not enough to activate it. However, his anger reduced the strictness of the conditions. Physical injuries fueled his destructive power, and if the injuries were too minor, the power would be diminished.

He would never forget the humiliation of being defeated by Luo with one slash. That scene was etched in his heart. Learning that the bearded man was Luo, his accumulated hatred could not be easily dismissed.

Reconciliation?

The only proper action was to ensure the Troupe and Luo were in a life-and-death struggle.

Feitan lowered his head slightly, muttering in a minority language. Meanwhile, the black patterned aura began to change, forming numerous skull patterns that swirled around him.

"Feitan! Stop!"

Uvogin and Nobunaga shouted urgently. If Feitan used that move, not only would Luo be in trouble, but they would also lose face as mediators.

Feitan's ability indiscriminately attacked both enemies and allies. Anyone who could develop such an ability had a strong independent streak, and in a state of rage, how could he listen to persuasion?

Chrollo, Franklin, and Shalnark knew this very well. Without a word, they grabbed Pakunoda and retreated swiftly. They couldn't stop him, only avoid him.

"Damn."

Uvogin was furious. They could have resolved the matter peacefully, but Feitan just had to cause trouble.

"Luo, get out of there!"

Uvogin and Nobunaga shouted almost simultaneously for Luo to leave.

They thought Luo didn't know about Feitan's ability, so they warned him. But in fact, Luo did know.

The skull-patterned aura on Feitan's body suddenly contracted, covering his entire body. In an instant, a strange red outfit manifested, enveloping him completely, leaving only a slit for his eyes.

He slowly raised his head, his eyes cold, muttering in an incomprehensible foreign language, roughly meaning to return the anger to Luo.

The aura suddenly contracted, gathering in front of him, compressing into a palm-sized fire seed with immense energy.

The fire seed resembled a planet in the universe, radiating a majestic power as it slowly floated into the sky.

Uvogin and Nobunaga saw this and, seeing Luo still standing still, they panicked and rushed towards him.

Luo glanced at Salin, who was ready to act, then at Uvogin and Nobunaga rushing over, and finally at the furious Feitan.

Scorching Sun was the name of the fire seed. When released into the sky, it would transform into a sun, radiating a temperature that incinerates everything around it.

This was a non-discriminatory area Nen ability, and the outfit Feitan wore could immune him to the temperature.

Luo knew this ability well. He could take Salin out of the attack range, but Uvogin and Nobunaga, who were rushing to save him, would be within the attack range.

"Maybe... you've misunderstood something."

He said coldly to Feitan, then suddenly leaped into the air, heading towards the soon-to-explode fire seed.

The Troupe members watching this thought Luo was crazy for ignoring the powerful Nen energy radiating from the fire seed.

"Utterly foolish."

Feitan looked up, eyes gleaming with satisfaction, as if he already saw Luo being incinerated in the center of the Scorching Sun.

Luo approached the fire seed in mid-air, extending his hands. Bursting Nen energy erupted from his hands, forming a tangible Nen circle that enveloped the fire seed.

"Swift Cut"

Without any visible movement from Luo, countless thumb-sized red energy fragments burst out from between his hands, fluttering like butterflies, creating a spectacular display in the night sky.

"Impossible!"

Feitan's eyes trembled in disbelief.

Uvogin and Nobunaga suddenly stopped in their tracks, watching Luo in mid-air slicing the Scorching Sun fire seed like vegetables, stunned.

Chrollo and the others, who were avoiding the area, also stopped and turned back to watch this scene.

In the night sky, the dissipating energy fragments resembled a silent, magnificent firework display.

"Is this how you block my Nen bullets?" Franklin's eyes widened.

This was his judgment, but there was an essential difference.

His Nen bullets were troublesome due to their quantity and considerable power, while Feitan's Scorching Sun fire seed was singular but extremely powerful.

The difference was not only in power but also in quantity.

Luo had to draw a "God" symbol to amplify his power to resist Franklin's Nen bullets, but he didn't need the "God" symbol to cut Feitan's Scorching Sun fire seed. The key reason was the number.

Salin looked up at Luo, who was showing off, and sighed softly, whispering, "Always considering others..."

Seconds later, Luo released his hands, and the Scorching Sun fire seed was completely disintegrated, turning into brilliant fireworks that scattered across the night sky.

Luo's feet slowly released Nen, keeping his body suspended about ten meters in the air, looking down at Feitan in his red outfit.

Under Feitan and the Troupe's gaze, Luo took out a cigarette, placed it in his mouth, and then raised his index finger. At the tip of his finger was a miniature version of Feitan's Scorching Sun fire seed.

He brought it to the cigarette and lit it.

"An ultimate move... only good for lighting cigarettes?"
