Rennsport Summit 2023:
Early this month, myself and Andre got flown out by the Rennsport team to participate in the Rennsport Summit and meetings concerning the modding dev tools that Rennsport wants to implement. This trip was awesome as we got to visit two different auto museums, taking 1000s of photos which have been added to the HSS Database and Records. I will have a video coming out later this week which will dive into further detail concerning Rennsport, but if you are interested in my thoughts mid-conference, check out this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O-l_LC2uVo

Internal Restructuring:
Due to the growing size of the HSS Team, we have split it up into three departments, and added a fourth. HSS is now comprised of a Track Development Team led by JP, a Car Development Team led by Andre, a 3D Model Development Team led by Clara, and finally a new sound team, for which we are actively recruiting. This frees me up to focus on the business and physics ends of things, and not having to worry about the day to day of every single person on the team, instead meeting weekly with the new Directors.

FMod Sound Engineers Wanted!
We are looking for an experienced FMod sound engineer for Assetto Corsa to join the Historic Sim Studios team. Pay will start at $100 per project, with a $50 bonus as a time and quality incentive. We are specifically looking for those talented at balancing and polishing the sounds to a high quality. Email me at daniel@historicsimstudios.com to apply.

1902 Ford 999:

Since we didn't get this car out on the 1st, we have been focusing on improving the quality of the car. It should be ready for release within the next 48 hours.

1906 Renault AK GP car:
We finished another PC performance optimization update this last month v0.995. This car will be released to the public next month so long as there are no other last minute discoveries we need to fix.

1906 Itala 35/40:
A small update was posted last month. At this point we are going to be adding LODs and then also driver feet and advanced shifting animations.

1906 Locomobile:
This project was idle this last month. We still plan to revisit it in the coming months to add the advanced driver animations, a few more details, and more polish to the car. We have considered redoing the 3d model, but I’m undecided if it is a good use of our time and resources at this current time.

1906 Fiat 130 HP:
This car is the next pre-ww1 car I am going to have the 3d modeling team produce. It will give a full challenge to the 1906 Renault and Locomobile. Obviously with all the other current projects it may take awhile before this one really gets moving along in production.

1907 Itala 35/45:
This project was once again idle this last month. This car is pretty close to finished in my opinion, however, we still need to add the advanced driver animations and LODs.

1907 Itala 36/45:
We pushed out an update for some minor bugs this last month, the LODs and advanced shifting and feet animations are still being developed and refined.

(1911) Blitzen Beasts Pack ($5 pack):
As some of you know, one of our sound developers disappeared on us, they were working a couple of projects including this one. As a result we are restructuring our sound team, which has been three seperate sound engineers working primarily by themselves into a group that collectively works on projects, with files posted in a discord chat. This should prevent future sound projects being lost mid-project, and we have high hopes it will also improve the speed of production as well. This project remains scheduled for a Fall 2023 release.

1911 American Champions Pack ($5 pack):
This project was idle this last month. This is a pack that we are currently in the very early stages. It will include two 1911 American open wheel racecars, the 1911 Marmon Wasp and the 1911 Mercer Raceabout. We have scheduled this project’s release for May 2024.

1915 Ford Model T Speedster:
We are going to release an update later this month, which will fix a few bugs but primarily will include the new 1910s tire model.

1916 American Champions Pack ($20 pack):
This project was another affected by the disappearance of our one sound engineer. We have started over, and we hope to have part 1 of this pack released later this month, which will include Indiana Superspeedway, Ascot Park, the Premier, and the Duesenberg. It will be $12 (40% off), with the price increasing to $20 once all the content is added. Your discounted purchase will obviously include all 5 tracks and 4 cars, with the rest of the content being added via content updates to the pack.

1916 Santa Monica ($5):
This project was idle this last month. We are planning for a Fall 2024 release.

1924 Alfa Romeo P2:
There were significant updates to this car last month, in preparation for the 1924 HSS Online event, we are now working on finalizing the 1925 version in time for this month’s online event on the 10th.

1924 Bugatti T35:
We also had several big updates to this car last month, the only part remaining is the sounds for the car. However, this was another project affected by the disappearance of our one sound engineer. Due to the crucial nature of other sound projects, this one might be a few months before we get back to developing the authentic sounds for it.

1924 Delage 2LCV:
I hope you enjoyed this one! It is one of my absolute favorites that we have produced. We will be making custom sounds for this project, but they are a ways down the road once the new sound team is grooving.

1924 HSS Demon:
The 1924 HSS Demon has been pushed back, due to the need to push back other releases. We are tentatively scheduling it for August, 2023. I should have some sound samples to show you within the next month or so, it is becoming very impressive and is perhaps our best sound work yet.

1925, 1928, 1929 Alfa Romeo P2 (physics updates):
The 1925 physics update was enjoyed this last Saturday during the online races, I will post the 1925 versions in a post later today.

1925-1929 Bugatti T35 (physics updates):
The 1925 physics update was enjoyed this last Saturday during the online races, I will post the 1925 versions in a post later today.

1925, 1928, & 1929 Delage 2LCV (physics updates):
The 1925 physics update was enjoyed this last Saturday during the online races, I will post the 1925 versions in a post later today.

1926 Amilcar CGSS Voiturette:
This project was idle this last month. I’m expecting that we will begin importing this 3d model into Assetto Corsa next month.

1927-1929 Amilcar CGSS Voiturette (physics updates):
This will follow in the months after the car’s initial release as discussed above.

1931 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300:

1932 Studebaker Indycar:
We just finished optimizing the Studebaker’s 3d model for PC performance and adding the LODs. This project will be released this week. This was another sound project that was affected, so we are going to be revisiting the sounds in the coming months.

1932 HSS Indy Special:
This car is in the game and ready to be voted on. The sounds are coming along, and this one should be pretty much finished in a couple of months.

1934 Maserati 8CM:
At this point the Maserati is pretty much finished and we are focusing on the other 1934 GP cars.

1934 Bugatti T59:
This project’s sounds were also affected, so we are going to be revisiting them in the coming months. We are going to push out the LODs, tire model, and physics updates next week, but the sounds will be a few months out still.

1934 Alfa Romeo P3:
This car’s sounds are pretty much finished, and we have a significant physics update incoming next month.

1934 Mercedes W25:
Due to feedback, we are going to be continuing to work on the Mercedes W25’s rear suspension. The Auto Union has some slight differences, which if that car is viewed as having a better suspension, we can bring over to the W25 (since they both have Swing Axle rear suspensions). I can also tell you that there is a slight chance we get funded by one of our largest clients to produce an entirely new model, perhaps even in direct collaboration with Mercedes. Lets cross our fingers.

1934 Auto Union Type A:
We finally released the overhauled version of this mod. I’d love to hear your feedback on the driving experience. At this point we just need to polish the physics, add LODs, and the paint schemes.

1935 Auto Union Type B:
This project was idle this last month. The 1935 Auto Union Type B’s 3d model has just been finished. Now to import it into AC. Should be ready to be voted upon for release in a couple months.

1935 Alfa Romeo P3 (physics update):
This project will be begun once the 1934 P3 is more polished.

1935 Bugatti T59 (physics update):
This project will be begun once the 1934 T59 is more polished.

We are going to start working on the 3d model for this project next month.

1954 North Wilksboro Speedway (dirt):
This track is in the early stages of development, and will be released via Patreon support.

1958 Lotus 16:

1972 McLaren M16B Indycar:
This car is almost finished, and it is ready for its early access release. The sounds were affected, and we are hoping to develop them in a few months.
