Commission and story (Angel belongs to): https://www.deviantart.com/chaotickaos
"I hate deserts... Nothing like desserts." Angel says as she continues scouring the Royanka Desert. Her bike, the Neon Night Rider, was in the shop due to damage from her last battle, so she had to travel on foot. Armed with her claws, her scythe, and her bladed shoes. The mission however should be simple. Angel was looking for an ancient ruin named the Royanka Ruins. Nearly 90,000 years ago, the ancient civilization of these ruins were said to exist, but were mysteriously wiped out by a giant unknown monster. Whether this was true, or if the ruined ever existed in the first place, were unknown. It could have just been ancient stories. But if true, Angel expects to find ancient treasures she can sell. "I REALLY should have came back after my bike was repaired. Would have made this a hell of a lot easier." Angel complains.
During the many hours of traveling, tons of goblins attacked her. She easily slayed them. But she was getting tired. She didn't plan too far ahead as she believed the mission wouldn't have taken too long. Once she gave up, she would simply call for a flying pickup service. Speaking of which, she's not sure why she didn't just rent a flying vehicle to search either. Seemed like she was making a lot of back to back mistakes, and only now realizing it. It was hot, Angel ran out of water, And there was nothing but lots and lots of sand dunes.
"There's nothing out here! The hell am I still wasting my time for?" She pulls out her phone and searches for a flying taxi service of some sort. Suddenly, there was a strong rumble, causing Angel to drop her phone and fall down a large dune. As the rumbling continues, and she regains her footing, she notices the giant sand dune she was on fall apart, and revealing an old, dusty ruins.
Angel only frowns at this reveal, "Why is it always the moment you give up that you always find what you're looking for? Everyone should just stop looking for everything, and then they'll always find it." Angel angrily stomped her feet as she entered the ruins.
Within an hour of searching, she found pretty much nothing. Not even skeletons. 90,000 years later, she figured they'd just be dust by now. She decided to give up, hoping something else would reveal itself. That didn't work, so she gave up for real this time. She reached for her phone, before remembering she had dropped it outside. "God dammit. It better not have been buried, or it's a loooong walk out of the desert..."
As she begin exiting the ruins, she glimpsed a mural on the wall of the ruins, showing what appeared to be, "A...giant...ugly snake? Was this...thing, their god? Or something they feared? Huh, wonder if it might even have anything to do with what made them all disappear. Maybe it killed them, or ran them out of this civilization. Either way, not my problem." After leaving the ruins, she walked toward where the thinks she dropped her phone. Unfortunately it appeared to be windy, meaning the phone ended up covered in sand. "Great. I can either start digging forever, or start walking forever. Great options you have here Angel." She says to herself.
Before she could decide, the strong rumble had returned. Angel, still not sure what it is, wondered if she should head back inside the ruins. Once again, before she could decide, something huge and large burst out of the sand. It appeared to be a giant, disgusting worm monster. Angel witnessed it in fear, "So...not a snake, a giant worm. Not...as dagerous as it could have been." The worm looked at her, drooling, "But yeah, okay, NOW it's my problem." She darted towards the ruins as the worm began to chase after her. She got inside the ruins, but noticed the worm not stopping. Just in case, she ran further inside before she heard loud crashing sounds. She turned around to notice the ruins were being destroyed as the worm crashed it's way through, attempting to reach her. "Shit!" Angel drew her scythe, and as the worm made it's mad dash towards her, she slashed hard at it, causing it to change direction. It unfortunately took her scythe with it as it got stuck inside the worms flesh, pulling it out of her hands, leaving her without her main weapon. Angel began to run towards a tall pillar. She jumped towards it, and latched on using the claws of her gloves, and the blades of her shoes. She climbed as fast as she could to the top of the pillar. It didn't seem to make a difference as the worm rammed into the giant pillar, knocking the entire thing down. As the pillar was falling, and Angel was still attached to it with her glove claws and shoe blades, the worm slapped her with it's wet and disgusting giant tongue. The force seemed to have knocked her claws and shoes off, leaving them stuck in the pillar. Angel landed safely in the sand, but feared she was doomed as she no longer had weapons, or a means to escape. The giant worm quickly moved towards her. As she tried to run, her bare feet in the hot sand, the worm lapped her up with it's disgusting slimy tongue, tossing her helplessly into the air. She screamed and cried as she feared it was the end. No one knew where she was, or knew where she was going. She would be lost forever. She fell towards the worms maw, and could smell an intense stench from it's breath. She landed on the slimy tongue, barely able to stand quickly, she felt the slimy tongue on the toes of her feet, squishing between her toes. She never felt anything so gross. She didn't have time to react though as the worm tossed her back up into the air, this time fulling intending on swallowing her whole. "Please no!" she screamed, tears flowing down her cheeks, a look of pure horror on her face, as she smelt the stench of the worms breath once more, "NOOOOOO!" she fell into it's gaping mouth as it swallowed her whole.
Squeezing through it's gullet, most of her clothes ripped off, some of it dissolving in the juices of the warms insides. Completely nude, she realized she entered it's belly. It was dark, extremely smelly, and tight. She felt the worms slimy and gross inner walls pressing against her entire nude body. She was terrified. What was worse, she had no idea if she would die or not. Due to her species, she doesn't need food or water to live. She does age. It's likely that neither did the worm. And her body is also slightly more durable. Would she be digested, or will she merely be trapped here for all of eternity naked in this smelly, slimy, disgusting, and gross belly of a worm? She felt pain as she felt like she was burning from the worms juices, but didn't appear to be dissolving. Is she just too durable? Is she going to live through this and be in endless agony forever? Will she be digested later? Will she by any chance ever be accidentally rescued by a monster slayer? Would someone else be devoured and keep her company? Time will tell... Or it'll never tell if it's the eternity fate. Who knows? Angel perhaps merely ended up as dessert in a desert... Too soon? Should that have been the title instead?
