The Smalls Lighthouse Tragedy is credited with inspiring a contemporary horror film. Robert Eggers – producer and director of The Lighthouse (2019) lists the tale as one of the influences that helped him bring the film to life. If you’ve watched the film you’ll know that the plot contains a lot more murder and madness than there is to be found in the history of the Smalls Lighthouse… but it’s still easy to see how this strange tragedy would have been an influence!

How about a video on the 2023 Texas dairy farm explosion? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Texas_dairy_farm_explosion Although their was just one non-fatal injury among the people involved, approximately 18,000 cattle were killed in the explosion and subsequent fire. The cause is believed to be a honey vac, which could be described as a "vacuum that sucks the manure and water out". It is believed to have overheated, causing built-up methane to ignite.

That's pretty wild. I remember covering one large explosion on a bait farm a while back... but that was due to an illegal fireworks operation. It'd be interesting to cover a farm explosion that was down to legitimate farm equipment malfunctioning...
