They really didn't hold back for their first episode, what a fun ride. Wasn't sure what to expect as I haven't seen any shows like this before, but I am gripped already!

lowkey sad buffy didn't win but this was my second choice and it's one of my favourite shows atm! there aren't a lot of reactors for this show so this is gonna be fun! (we are currently suffering through the midseason hiatus waiting for season 8b - you have three months to catch up, lol!) i will say, the first season is def the weakest but it's still fun and sets up a lot of important character beats and dynamic.

List of characters as requested. 911 operator Abigail Clark, called Abby. Her mom Patricia Clark, mostly just called mom. Sergeant Athena Grant, called by her first or last name or her title. Michael Grant, called Michael. Their kids are May and Harry Grant. Fire Captain Robert Nash, called Bobby or Cap or Nash. Firefighter Evan Buckley, usually called Buck (and yes he grows on you). Firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Wilson, usually called Hen. Firefighter/paramedic Howie Han, usually called Chimney. Hope this helps.

here's a quick rundown of the important characters: the mains: bobby nash (the captain of the 118) evan 'buck' buckley (the immature guy who almost got fired - we only ever call him buck) henrietta 'hen' wilson (the black woman with the buzzcut, she's a paramedic) howard 'chimney' han (no, we do not know why they call him chimney, but he is also a paramedic) cops - sergeant athena grant (angela bassett's character) dispatcher - abby clark (her mother is called patricia) home health nurse - carla price athena's family - michael grant - athena's husband may grant - athena and michael's daughter harry grant - athena and michael's son i believe that is all the important characters that we're introduced to in this ep, i can edit or make a new list if we meet new characters in this season and future seasons if that would be helpful.

I usually expect S1's to be rough around the edges so dw, most of my fav shows have VERY poor S1's heh. Plus I loved the first episode so thats a major star!

omg i was just thinking how we don’t have enough reactors for this show especially ones who really dive into the characters which is a shame because the character development is top tier and now you’ve started it. this is the best news ever! eta - just watched and i’m so happy you’re already invested! season 1 is definitely the weakest season and feels a little different to the rest of the show but it’s so important to see where the characters start to really appreciate their journeys. the calls in this show are almost all based on real emergencies the writers get from the news all over the world. even the most absurd ones. i’m excited for your reactions to some of them.

Yeah, different type of show, a bit more procedural since it is a "law enforcement" drama... That got me thinking, and yes it would be a massive en devour, but it would be cool to get reactions and for you to experience something that the Chicago universe of shows; or, better yet, the Dick Wolf (producer) universe of shows, which include all of the Chicago One shows: Fire, PD and Med, and also the FBI shows: Regular, International and Most Wanted... Well, I think technically it would also include some of the Law and Order shows hahahaha... yeah, that would be years worth of content
