We can see in this episode that Charlie hasn’t stopped apologising for himself, even though he’s more confident now in his relationship with Nick. In season 1, Tao told Nick that Charlie basically believed that he was being annoying to other people merely for existing and already in season 2, he’s assuming responsibility for things not being perfect. He understandably wants Nick not to experience the bullying and pain that he went through when he was outed, but always believing he’s somehow to blame if something goes wrong is going to create enormous and unsustainable pressure on him. Charlie even declares at the end of episode 1 that it’s all going to be perfect. That immediately sent a chill into my heart.

I've already watched the entire season (no spoilers I promise) but hearing you talk in depth about each situation and your thoughts and 'advice' is so interesting and feels as though I am watching the show again through a different lens (hope that makes sense) I cannot wait for you to watch the rest of the season cause I'm very intrigued for your thoughts on some of the other situations that eventually transpire.
