Denizens of the Tower! After a gruesome Journey Through the Amber Plains, the characters finally find a moment of respite and rest in the realm's capital, Grambury. Duke Alaric Stormrider soon hears of the party's exploits and summons them to Grambury Hall for an audience. The ruler reveals his plans to march toward Amber Mountain to face the gnolls in their desolate wasteland.

The duke insists that time is of the essence but the army must first prepare to march. In the meantime, the characters are given two quests to explore nearby dungeons where artifacts or powerful magic are said to lie hidden. These may be useful in the final battle against Gnashra, the gnoll chieftain. There is no shortage of work for valiant escorts and bodyguards in the capital. If the characters are smart, they can capitalize on the current needs of the people.

Variant gnolls are part of this adventure. Both are available for D&D 5e and Shadowdark RPG. You can find them as part of the regional setting release of The Amber Expanse here.
