Denizens of the Tower! This adventure supplement is a special collaboration with a team of latino creators that are in the development phase of a new setting inspired by pre-hispanic, Afro-Latin, and mixed-heritage civilizations of Latin America. For this primer supplement, we have illustrated the main regional map for the Koboa Setting! We invite you to check out the official Twitter here.
In the Koboa Setting, numerous Indigenous peoples in Koboa endure a period of adaptation and recovery after a long occupation by a foreign power. The trespassers took over their lands for a period and mixed with their populations. Now, the recovering inhabitants deal with the meaning of their mixed ascendancy and the threat that the foreign force might return in the near future to retake their lands. Koboa paints a world that is reminiscent of the experiences of numerous Indigenous, Afro-Latin, and Latin-American groups. It gives you the opportunity to play in a setting that is not based on medieval Europe.
The project is in development. There shall be a crowdfunding campaign in the near future. The current ETA for it is the first quarter of 2023. Stay posted about this South-America-themed setting. I'll post about it here when it is launched!
Here's a close-up of the southern cities in Gran Marcelia. Some of those settlements are led by descendants of foreign invaders. They struggle with their identity as native Koboans and as loyalists to the King Across the Sea.
In the northern reaches, a thunderous storm that never ends is guilty of scores of deaths in the sea. It is suspected that, through druidic magic from across the sea, the mages in Nueva Vardia keep the storm going to make the climate colder and less tropical. The purpose of these actions is a mystery to solve!
We appreciate your support. Because of your awesome support, we can make keep producing art, written content, and TTRPG-related stuff. Once again, we invite you to check out the Koboa Setting Twitter's page here. He's got lots of cool goodies!
