621 Vault of Death (Patreon)

Denizens of the Tower! In A Vault of Death, a group of level-7 adventurers find out from common lore and rumors about a strange dungeon nearby. The locales call it the Mouth of Hell after so many explorers and would-be adventurers went there and never returned over the last few decades. Now the place is shunned and no one dares come near it. However, there is a running rumor that there must be something of great value buried within. The largest treasure hoard!

Upon exploring the underground compound, the characters discover that an ancient snakefolk civilization built the strange ruin. It is a vault. A safe place where the snakefolk keep powerful knowledge and fabled magic items. Surprisingly, despite how known the place is, no one has ever been able to plunder its main vault. Should the characters achieve the impossible and manage to overcome the vault's guardians and crack the vault door, they'll gain access to a grand hoard!

This is a level-7 adventure with a fair amount of dungeon-crawling, deadly fights with immortal guardians and traps, and the opportunity to acquire forbidden knowledge and magic items from the obscure snakefolk priests!
