When I saw this episode, I think I was thinking (about what Clark said about using Kryptonian tech on just Lois and it not being fair to share it with everyone else suffering from it) that he was talking about the dangers of bringing alien tech to a more...primitive society. I mean, look at how they were treating his blood? Right now, the people of Earth are not...centered (?) enough to handle the tech and someone will undoubtedly try to weaponize it to get the advantage over some other group. You know how there's always this idea in sci-fi about giving primitive races advanced technology being a no-no and how it almost always ends badly? That's what I was kinda assuming he meant by it. But, ya never know, they might be able to come up with a cure and just release that (and nothing else) to the world. Narratively, like you said though, it would change the whole world and I don't think they want to get too far away from how things are in our world. Like, they want to show a world we can relate to...with Superman and other superpowered beings in it. Not also a world free of illness, etc. That's something we can't relate to. This show does seem to want to keep things as grounded as possible...for a Superman story, that is.😁
