Heavenly Delusion is such a good anime,too bad from what I understand there isn't enough manga material for a season 2.

I was hoping you guys might notice but the picture of the doctor that Kiruko is looking for. Is the same doctor from Heaven. The scar, the glasses, and the fact he studies transplanting brains into different bodies.

there should be enough material, the anime adapted roughly 37 chapters and there are 66 currently

Great reaction! What you guys were saying about doubting anyone would figure it out until the button - the very last scene where the two of them die in the future, it cuts to Mimihime in a dark cave being scared. Then she turns to see someone has joined her, and she is no longer scared as she takes their hand.. It was at that point I realised the time difference and it was meant to be those two characters going into the afterlife. (Also, in that vision, she is missing her button)

Now that we’re finally here, I got a couple things to mention: Mimihime giving the button to shiro is the big give away that the couple turned out to be them, but another detail some people might’ve missed is at the end of last episode when mimihime saw the sky for the first time. She falls backwards into his arms and reaches for the sky and says it’s pretty, which is a call back to her in the future when she wanted to see the sky one last time before dying. Other thing is just like Sam pointed out, it looks like there has been hints that robin probably had these horrendous intents with kiriko in the past, and unfortunately also acted on them when she was still alive. It makes me so sad that despite what she might have been going through behind the scenes, she always shared the brightest sides of herself with her brother, but instead of only getting to remember her that way, robin had to ruin it. Anyways, phenomenal show, hope we get more of it and hope we get to see robin suffer lmao

This was a wild show to watch with you guys but I liked it. From what I read there is potentially enough chapters for another season but who knows when that'll be.

Just to add more salt to the wound: Back in episode 8, the post credits scene showed Mimihime in a dark cave then a mysterious classmate (which we know as Shiro) appears and holds her hand then a bright light. Now at the time you could interpret it as just Shiro joining her in the afterlife after his suicide but now it's also symbolic to when Shiro gave her his eye, cause in the cave Mimihime said "It's so dark, I can't see." Then Shiro appears and brings her "light" aka his eye. Mimihime back in episode 11, when she got hypnotised by Ohma, she had hallucinations of needles, drills, saws, knives, etc. She then says that she doesn't understand why she's so afraid of those things when she hasn't even experienced them, that's because her powers are seeing glimpses of the future, she saw her own future one day where she had to get amputated over and over. Also all her premonitions occur before her death in the future so meaning when she saw Kona as a man eater, that means Kona is already dead when we're watching Maru and Kiruko as their journey goes on after Mimihime died. The people who are still a mystery of who they are or where they are, are Tokio, the "twin" baby, Mikura, and The Doc. This show and the manga does a phenomenal job at "show don't tell." Most animes would out right explain stuff through dialogue but this anime doesn't, just pure visual story telling with little hints here and there.

Another clue to Usami and the patient being Shiro and Mimihime is that the same music plays in the scene when Mimihime dies in the future as well as when Mimihime gives Shiro her button in the past. It's the only two times that specific music plays in the show.

After watching this first season, I can't wait anymore to get the answer. So I jump straight to the manga and see what is really going on. But then I found out; the manga is also still to be continue 🤣

So sad/ironic that shiro says he would get cut up as much as necessary to protect mimihime but he ends up having to cut up her body instead to stop the disease

Loved your reaction and analysis during this show. Loved it so much that I started reading the manga. Just couldn’t wait! But man this show is subtle with hints, amazing to rewatch when you gain more knowledge 😱

Man I swear every time I watch this show I catch little details that I hadn't noticed. So glad you guys watched it! I hope you enjoyed it!

when i first saw the twins i tought that was tokio and maru and they sended them to the past or something it wasnt till u guys started explaining i understood there is no time travel just all the events from the paradise are in the past and tokio is actually marus mom, also when those russian guys visited paradise i started to think maybe only japan was apocaliptyc because they where acting normal but now eveyrthing makes sense, the manga is monthly so there isnt even a lot more chapters still so there is no point in reading it. i personally think this show is like WAAAY better than Atack on titan but the timing didnt helped at all to be more famous also only releasing in disney. i really need an 11/ 10 in myanimelist bc i dont think i have ever seen a better anime, or maybe im allucinating i watched AOT like 8 years ago and i didnt liked the change of studio so i droped it in season 4
