Isn’t that what you want, too?” It’s sad how the only way they could wrap their minds around their feelings for each other, and their desire to be together, was to plan to “conquer the world” together. But they never wanted the world. Just each other.

Omg that's so true and sad an pretty.... And yeah, they are not happy at all in this AU. Adora has locked herself into fulfiling her mission, and Catra... well. She doesn't like that Adora. She still loves her because she has nobody else... but their relationship is quite difficult.
